a mistake many people make is being afraid to cut losses once something fails. if i was jags gm i would be thinking about cutting my losses on this one. i would give him one more year to be fair but knowing jags they will ride it out like they did with blaine gabbert and blake bortles. :russ:

Where is this new QB gonna come from if the highly regarded ones be busts too

Hard to believe you actually referenced Justin Fields here.

This guy is single handedly wasting Darnell Mooney’s prime years.

He got a lucky win last week and you’re talking about incremental improvement. Uh, alright.

You could have picked someone else to compare Trevor Lawrence to. Like perhaps Joe Burrow, who actually does look like an elite QB.

Mooney really isn't that good

now I havent watched a ton of Jags games, but when I have, I havent been impressed

his struggles are obvious - this guy was considered to be one of the GOAT QB prospects?

we have like 20 threads shytting on Justin Fields, who seems to make more impact plays (and has shown week over week improvement) - lets talk about the #1 pick, "generational" talent

he got a long pass cause of Urban, but that cant be the crutch anymore
And the thing about Fields is of all the QBs drafted last year, his roster didn’t improve because the Bears didn’t have a first round pick (would’ve had the 5th or 6th pick), and he didn’t get drafted to a good team like Trey Lance.

He does need a number 1 though. Look TLaw isn’t hitting the ground running but QB in this league is not easy and I consider last year a wash with that incompetent coaching staff. He has a lot to learn and I don’t know if he’ll be a HoF QB but he will have a decent career.
A number 1 WR won’t matter if he’s constantly throwing behind WRs lookin like prime Andy Dalton
