Talk Robbie Gould out of retirement
I mean, we are clearly not gonna do that. Only way we make a change is if Moody fukks up badly (worse than the Dallas kicker last year) in the Divisional and somehow we still get to the NFCCG.

Like I've been saying, only shot at a ring this season is just playing with a lead and do what we did all season with them...or the defense stepping up when Kyle goes full Kyle with a 1-2 score lead :francis:

Not necessarily. You discount how good the supporting cast is.
You have any faith in Darnold on key 3rd downs or having to respond with a drive? For real? He's capable of fumbling a simple slant to Deebo or throwing a missile on a 3 yard out that gets tipped and intercepted :mjlol:

I think he's even less reliable than Jimmy G in the playoffs, and that's saying something.

Sam Darnold is basically a more athletic Mullens

I don't care who we play, really. It'd be nice to see the defense get some pressure from the front four. I don't think we win the Super Bowl unless the front four makes a statement.
Personally I would prefer to not play the Rams. I'm genuinely cheering for the Lions to take them out.

Padford and those receivers will be tough for any team to stop if they can't get pressure. The first game we had against them early in the season was pretty close. I think the Lions and Rams could be a shootout.

Moodys a middle of the pack kicker as a rookie, he ain’t going nowhere and should only get better.

Now whether a team hoping to compete for a Super Bowl should be starting a rookie kicker in the first place is another story but I hate how the media always over reacts. Any other teams reporters aren’t asking if the kickers getting replaced going into the playoffs because of a bad performance in a game that meant nothing. Beyond stupid.

I think he's boom/bust. Highs are higher than Jimmy, lows are lower. Still haven't seen him in this offense with these players.

He has had good games in the past, just not many and not consistent.

I don't think it's an overreaction. We are a team that can win a SB and we all know FGs are essential in the playoffs. We are also a team that has chocked away 2 chances at a ring in the last 5 years and last season's chances were stripped from us in :mindblown: fashion.

There's more urgency than ever to win a ring with this current squad so it makes sense to me that people -media included- are pushing when it comes to a position no one has felt confident about since Week 1.

It is not an overreaction for a Super Bowl or bust team something we all knew going into this season

I agree that we should never have gone with a rookie kicker during this championship window but bringing in some unsigned kicker going into the playoffs isn’t the move either imo. There’s no studs out there waiting to be signed just middle of the road guys or worse.

I guess the way I see it, if Darnold is able to pull off any "boom" in the playoffs, it's gonna come with so many "busts" that it wont matter :heh:
