For me these do not belong in this thread

The Simpsons movie - Yeah many critics/people liked it but most of the review are like "This a good long Simpsons episode", I've never seen anyone go town and defend it on forum (or in real) or claiming it's a masterpiece

Bridesmaids - Like with Simpsons movie no one has been saying it's a masterpiece

Safehouse -

I'd argue Scarface belongs here because it has some status now, just like some Hitchcock movies

Do most people realize Scarface isn't really top rated or acclaimed? It's become a huge huge film but more so for its impact and influence in hip hop rather than it being a good flick.

I know hip hop hyped it up but I still think beyond that is a hilariously cynical commentary on the "American Dream" that perfectly embodies the zeitgeist of Reagan era America. Most quotable movie IMO too.

I agree with you on Mean Streets. It's OK at best but outside of a couple performances its rather meh. You know I can't roll with you on Predator though. Apocalypse Now I may be swayed tho

I agree with you on Mean Streets. It's OK at best but outside of a couple performances its rather meh. You know I can't roll with you on Predator though. Apocalypse Now I may be swayed tho

I really hated Persona and don't see the hype on his girl friday.

Took me a while but I finally got to a point where I like the Lord of the Rings movies because in high school they bored me to death. 3 movies of walking

Bourne Identity: Matt Damon's a good actor, but I never bought him in action type roles.

Donnie Darko: Found it pretentious and trying to be weirder and deeper than it could get away with.

I found the bourne identity to be boring as hell

I was with ya until Mean Streets...I love that movie. Very underrated actually.

But u dissed Alien, and Aliens DA gawds. Smh...and Predator... Smh.
