On the subject of Dris

If Sully didn't kill him there's potentially trouble to come in the future. Those two undercovers got close enough to Dris by the end of the season for him to sell to them, but nowhere near Dushane. If Dris is alive the cops still have a way in

He passed out in the car bc he was sick from not taking his meds, bc of the nerve problem in his arm. But agreed, whole time, he was a traitor. He let his bitterness and envy take over bc they were excluding him

Dude was a piece of shyt, twice. I thought he wouldve smartened up and not snitched the second time. Dushane did treat him shytty though. Soon as he came back from Jamaica, Dris was only dude who showed him his old respect and love.

Yeah, I think so too. It's a classic TV rule that you gotta see the body before you assume a character is dead. :francis:

Sometimes even that don't stick, you could see a nikka head in a box but it's a switcheroo. Prison Break stans know what I'm talking about

Stannis is still Alive

ya I looked @ it 2 ways...on the one hand sully could feel some remorse for leaving dude’s daughter fatherless...on the other hand he could look @ it as his daughter was almost left fatherless due to dris’ traitorous actions

re: how the scene was shot...it reminds me of GoT when brienne killed stannis and ppl initially thought there was a chance he was alive bcuz they didn’t show the actual beheading...it could play out either way...it’d be too cliche imo if they have it were sully didn’t kill him tho

Stan IS Alive and is chilling with the sparrows

Yes, but you'll enjoy it more if you know the back story first. Go back and watch the first two seasons, Netflix has them anyway and it's only 4 episodes to a season

I disagree. You can’t watch this without having prior knowledge of the other seasons. I tried, was watching season 3, couldn’t understand how these characters knew each other, why sully ain’t want to work with Shane, why Shane was in Jamaica, sully’s relationship with Jason. Too much stuff in the first two seasons tie into the third.

Dont nikkas ever get bored of all these black shows/movies that only focus on poverty, drug dealing, crime in general and the hood:gucci:.

This show was/is fukking amazing but I agree. Tired of seeing blacks in these kinds of roles. Would love to see an all black cast for a show like succession or GOT.

Couple things:
The scene between Jaimie and Aaron in the cell had me tearing hard. Like dam fam just wanted to provide for his brothers after his mom and pops died.

Same with Sully and Dris. “Don’t do this to me fam” “you know what you’ve done” :wow:

Deshane’s love interest daughter acting was so cute. “Oh hi Duuuushane, this is my kitchuun” hahahahha

:deadmanny:Tried to play the victim.
That age gap was cringe af. Damn near 30 yrs apart - that was distracting; the only part that I didn’t like about the show - weird.
Yeah that shyt was unnecessary I know it happens but just wasn't needed. I knew the relation would take that route it was too predictable talkin bout 'never again' after :scust:

it’s cool to watch the other seasons to get a feel for some of the relationships but to basically say it renders it unwatchable isn’t fair...if that was your personal experience then so be it

Na that’s not my personal opinion, it’s fact. I didn’t know what I was watching, like something was missing. You can’t watch a series like that. When you read a book, do you start from the first page or the middle?

It’s corny that some of you dudes are trying to say you don’t need to watch the first two seasons to watch this one. That’s dumb as fukk.

I can't have people calling Dushane a monster. If he's a monster what does that make Sully or Modie? Or even Jamie for that matter. The whole events of the season were kicked off by
an act of a moral intervention by Dushane, which was totally selfless and one which he knew would put him and his family in Jamaica in immediate danger. If he was such a monster why would he risk his life and those of his family's to save, as Sugar called her, a useless old woman?

Not to even mention his looking the other way over Jaq's insubordination and what her sister did, or all the shyt he did in the first two seasons

Out of all the gangsters we've seen in the show, Dushane easily has the most consistent and the strongest sense of a conscience and morality
Agreed. Which is why homechick said he had morals and he tried to duck it saying "you don't know me".

One thing I would have liked to have seen more of is the relationship between Dushane and his dad.

Remember in season one when he bumped into him on the street and he had a younger boy with him. You could tell they have a tense, strained relationship. Dushane mentioned him briefly in this season but was kind of dismissive about it. It would be good to see more of an interaction between the two and explore an issue that's a problem in the black community and possibly delve into why he talk the path he did (even though his older brother lives a civilian life).
