Dave Meltzer reported that many ex-WWE stars indeed felt after going to AEW that it was a "step-down." Despite certain talents getting opportunities on TV, they personally don't feel they've contributed much to the promotion.

"A lot of ex-WWE talent went to AEW and saw it as a step down, and even though some of them have been pushed, they haven't really helped the company, although they still may," Meltzer stated.

The Wrestling Observer journalist added that there are talents in AEW who are seemingly waiting for their current deals to expire so that they can plot a potential return.

All Elite Wrestling might have broken records of late, but a section of the locker room still views World Wrestling Entertainment on a different level.

"But there are several that you get the impression that they can't wait to get back to WWE, see it as the major league, if they can get an offer when their AEW deal expires."

Dave is a Mt. Rushmore level grifter, how he's actually making a living off shyt like this is amazing. A high school teacher wouldn't accept this on an assignment showing sources but he's got grown ass people paying for this. :wow:

It's not quite the USFL/XFL to the WWE’s NFL, but it's close.

Moxley, Daniel Bryans, Christian, Punk, Jericho.

Likely forgetting some names. Seems like there are more people it hasn't been wrestling nirvana for than those it has been. But the idea that WWE is waiting around to give Andrade and Keith Lee pushes they haven't received in AEW is laughable.

Outside of the young bums, Kenny, their buddies, and washed wwe flameouts(Christian, Jeritol)
I don’t see why you wouldn’t want to jump. Dudes like Starks, Hobbs, Wardlow should leave asap
Whose to say that they won't end up in the exact same situation as they are in now? Same as the WWE guys who are looking to go back as everybody isn't going to get that Cody or Jade type push.

That's why you gotta leave early. Right now if Starks was the number 2 guy to leave aew he would definitely get pushed. Wardlow is a bum though I'm sure he'd get pushed too.

If the wrestlers who work there are saying this what the fukk makes ANYONE including those wrestlers think that WWE wants them back?

What do the old WWE wrestlers who left and went to AEW think that now they want them back? The muthafukas who were in charge ain’t even in charge any longer and I bet they’re looking at them like “why would we want you, you’re minor league”.

Lmao this muthafuka wants us to believe that WWE the largest wrestling company in the world would possibly want any of these folks back or for the first time WHEN WWE COULD HAVE BEEN HAD THEM :mjlol:

Gotta give Meltz credit though, muthafukas is still paying him for the shyt we get for free here

TK can’t possibly let Keith Lee walk, he’s been such a game changer for AEW. Where would they be without him?
The crazy thing is that Keith Lee could've been the man in AEW. Keith even got a basic beal over when he first came in, but Tony took breh off of tv in favor of petite white boys.
Keith Lee looks imposing, he has a legit athletic background, he's Black (always a plus), and he knows how to incorporate psychology & logic into his matches.
If Tony Khan wasn't opposed to anybody over 180 lbs, then Keith Lee, Powerhouse Hobbs, and Wardlow could've been AEW's Hogan/Andre/& Studd. Keith Lee is the closest thing to a giant/monster in the AEW locker room. I'm probably biased since I'm a Keith Lee fan, but I honestly believe that breh could've been so much more in AEW.

I actually think they're doubling down on the stupid in response to the criticism of the spots. It's childish.
I was gonna post the same, so petty. No surprise Matt Jackson was involved. I’m sure it was his idea to triple down on it cause tRoLLiNg :russell:
