I said "a Muslim who would....." not all Muslims would. The point is that Islam turned someone like bilal from a common slave into an esteemed and revered Muslim, and a brother to his fellow sahaba, some of which included leaders of their former tribes/clans. That's the true spirit of Islam. A shame you choose to close your eyes to it.
My eyes are closed? You're arbitrarily choosing an example of how Islam positively affect a person and defining that as "the true spirit of Islam."
Notice I've never said that Islam can't have any positive influence. I know there are plenty of people who had a positive change in their life in large part as a result of embracing Islam, just like there have been plenty of people who have had a positive change in their life in large part as a result of embracing Christianity, or Judaism, or Scientology or whatever other myth makes them comfortable.
I would contend that overall the bad outweighs the good, and regardless, it's based on falsity either way. You on the other hand, either do not acknowledge that is has any deleterious influence at all on the world, or tacitly support it.
