i never said the british were monolithically good, i point it out to show the proper frame of reference of islamic slavery, the british and other european were brutal slave traders, if you need a european to stop you from slave trading than you have no moral authority in terms of slavery, so the islamic world has zero moral standing when it comes to slavery

As for the second question you keep mixing up my point with the idea of personal action. Of course most people who've been oppressed by europeans don't look to each other for personal brotherhood, any more than I'd randomly be fraternal with a chinese person. But the Chinese and my people have also intersected in resistance and that's a fact.

The most obvious truth about Islam is that some people dislike and/or hate it (for whatever reason) so they bring up things like pedophilia, rape, crimes, hate, slavery, etc.- not because those are random issues they feel strongly about; but because those are things that were cause solely by human motivations but can easily be used to blame and associate Islam/Holy-prophets/Books with.

its not about brutality its about morality, posters were insinuating and saying it directly that islam had a higher moral ground than other religions as far as slavery

so the fact that christians forced muslims to end slavery calls into question any suggestions of Islam having a higher moral stance

as far as brutality, i would assert that anybody that wants to argue that muslims had a kinder and gentler slavery are showing low moral standards and all they are doing is embarrassing themselves, but if you want to embarrass your religion even more we can have that argument, i got links on deck
