Serious question: do you all think that Will Smith will be able to ever live this incident down? It’s kind of ingrained with his Oscar win. It might’ve taken over The Streaker incident or the La La Land/Moonlight mishap as the show’s most infamous moment. When they do a career introspective down the line, I can see them saying “Although Smith finally won the Academy Award in his third try, the night will mostly be remembered for him walking on stage, and slapping Chris Rock in the face after an ill timed joke.”

Like a lot of Rock specials it was uneven as hell. A couple of hard laughs. Funniest line being if you have to pay for an abortion, you should get an abortion. I laughed at the Will shyt but it ended on a weak ass joke about not fighting in front of white people.
