Plus yes the cost of living is higher but if you can afford to buy a house there your house will never depreciate and you won't have to pay hella property taxes vs would you will in TX.

I was going to say this. I have friends that talk about the col Texas all the time and I'm like yeah but there's a price to pay for that and we're seeing it right now with this snowstorm.

im black and from east county (probably the lowest class of white people in the city)

there’s racism but I grew up around white kids, black kids, Arab kids, Mexican kids, African immigrants, Asian kids, so racism wasn’t really a thing that we dealt with (especially playing sports)

of course you have idiot kids and people, but it’s not a largely racist city. It’s definitely a Republican city but I went to school in Missouri and can tell you it’s night and day when it comes to feeling like people are watching you strictly because you’re black
