First time seeing Waka on camera tho, with the baby dreads and everything.

that video and the one with them freestyling in the woods are classic Gucci material :russ:

Half these nikkas don’t know bout the old Gucci. They called him retarded back then but they’ve hopped on the wave now

The Fugees reunion. They reunited in 2005 at the BET Awards. Shortly after they released the song below:

They also had a deal with Verizon where they were releasing songs weekly, but you had to have a special code to get them. The songs below were a part of that deal:

Nas's original God's Son is something that gets lost in the shuffle. The version that was released was a more "peaceful" album than the one he was going to release. Nas was about to Makaveli the game, but decided near the last minute to change the direction of the album. He was letting everybody have it. Some of the titles were:

F Hot (getting at Hot 97)

Grimey Ways

Crabs In A Barrel

My Will (part of this leaked as "Honeymoon Over")

There was an alternate version of "Hey Nas" produced by The Tracmasters featuring XO. "Ridin' Broke" was the Braveheart joint instead of "Zone Out". The album was 12 songs as the tracklist was up on Amazon.
we shoulda got this :sadcam:

50 cents Mother worked for famous kingpin "Fat Cat" Nichols and killed in unexplained fire.

50 cents ties to the underworld by investigative journalist who wrote book Queens Reigns Supreme.

Tyeng the web of deaths of Jam Master J, Jimmy Hemchmen and Jimmys own word about 2pac trying to bark on him the phone about a feature miney payment and the need to take Pac down a peg by robbing him.
I'm going to read this, that book looks dope, I have it on my PC but haven't gotten around to reading it yet.

Roscoe was an a$$hole that burned bridges, and Future/Rich Homie Quan took his lane

Appreciate this post and the knowledge. I never knew what Crank Dat Roosevelt was a whole song and everything. Thought it was just a line out Soulja Boys song.

Reminds me of a couple of other forgotten things:

all the Crank Dat spinoff songs, Spider-Man, Batman, etc and all the bootleg Franchize Boyz White Tee remixes with different colors.

Roscoe Dash going off on Wale/Miguel claiming he wrote Lotus Flower bomb and didn’t get credit.

Pete Rock using every breath he had back in '99-'01 to shyt on Swizz Beats and anybody who sounded like him. And if I'm not mistaken, Pete wasn't exactly 9th Wonders biggest fan when he came out with them Fruity Loops beats and those signature limp ass garbage level drums on his earlier work. It seems like nobody in the producer's circle acknowledges how big the rift was between the old and new guard.

"The south got something to say" - This whole mythological chip on the shoulders of Southern artists post-1995 because Outkast was booed at The Source awards. The crowd was booing because Smif N Wessun didn't win Best New Artist. They weren't booing Outkast for the fukk of it, it had nothing to do with them or shytting on the South.

Duck Down/Boot Camp Click being extremely close to signing Eminem before Dr. Dre signed him. Priority Records is the main reason the deal fell through, they weren't willing to match the funds that Em was looking for but he was in constant contact with Dru Ha and Buckshot.

Tupac was also looking heavily into releasing music on Duck Down when he was recording the One Nation album.

Sean Price was almost signing to Def Jam in the early-mid 2000s.

DJ Premier probably has more "shoulda" or only exists in our imagination albums than Rza and Dr. Dre combined at this point. A solo album when he signed to Fat Joe's imprint back in the 2000s, another solo album announced about 6 or 7 years ago, the NYGz "real" album since Welcome To G-Dom was the "pre-album", his Nas album fully produced by him dropping February 31st, 2999, the Pete Rock vs. DJ Premier album they were hyping up when they went on tour together 5 years ago or so, and albums fromball those acts he signed to his own label. None of them got full length releases aside from Blaq Poet and NYGz.

When EPMD reunited back in 1997, they were supposed to helm the newest supergroup, "The Squadron" which was supposed to be Hit Squad and Def Squad combined. Nothing outside of the Back In Business album cuts ever materialized out of this.

Pharcyde and Souls of Mischief were supposed to drop a group album together esrly 2000s. I remember reading about it on and even asked Tajai about it personally after a Souls show in Philly and he confirmed it.

"Liknuts". The group composed of Tha Liks and The Beatnuts. They dropped one single like 10 years ago and were never heard from again.

But Smif N Wessun is an NY group and I'm sure Bone would've gotten booed had they won. And again Bone isn't from the East either, so yeah, it would still look like bias. And adding insult to injury, The Source had already dissed and dismissed The South in their review of SPCM in spite of it getting 4.5 mics. The Source was also dismissive of Bone.
