Your resume is impressive, seems like a good fit, we’ll get back to you by next week . Me when next week came and went

If you don’t get an email within the same week, it’s over.

Brooklyn keeps on taking it.
A lot of brehs tryna get hired. It would be nice to have a Breh on the inside to look out.

Yea right now I’m staring a temp for a company that might lead me to a permanent position to Coinbase. If they have a referral department I will def put brehs on cause those referrals help you skip the line B

After interviewing for my current job I had connection requests from the two managers I spoke with I even had an offer. It was almost like they hit me with a "see you soon" :youngsabo:

Hit the :whoo:

Why can’t you just be up front? Is it against policy or something?

Also what makes you select a candidate? Do you factor in character and experience or just experience?
Very much against HR policy because words can be used against the company in a very handsomely paid out lawsuit which sees me get thrown out on the street. Selecting a candidate is by skills first, salary ask second, culture fit/value add to the dept in that order. If those don’t align with the hiring managers vision for their dept it’s right click delete and go to the next candidate.

My advice is link up through a temp agency in your field. For one, it gets us the experience we desperately need, secondly you interview with the recruiter for the temp agency who has the incentive to place you somewhere and you’re not tied down to the firm but a permanent position is usually the track. That’s how I got where I am now. Doing account payables in an accounting department while I’m back in school for accounting.

I figured but I’m wondering what could make someone sue you guys after telling them you moved on. How is it any different then sending them a rejection email?

We'll call you
If you imply you need a two weeks to notice they'll say something like We're trying to find people as quickly as possible so we'll see( happen to me once)
They start prying into your experience heavy basically trying to fish if it's fake credentials (50/50 I've had employers do it and then reject me but maybe other people have different experiences)
Your first interview is with someone who's not the actual interviewer and just someone who has a list of questions they've been given by the real decision-maker( they already have someone in mind but they need to legally search for other candidates before giving the job to them)
they fold up your resume in front of you. (Seriously happened to me once) :mjlol:
Honestly, I know in the first 5 minutes if i'm getting far or not
This they hit you with a I'll forward these questions to the hiring manager for his decision. bytch.

Anything that mentions other candidates / looking at applications / interview process is as good as a "no". :francis:

Shoutout to breh that compared several interviews to online dating because it's the same struggle in terms of staying motivated and confident.

One lady who I personally knew who was recruiter for Just works put me on to a role herself and then when I did the interview this chick tells me they decided to put a pause on the position. The same company however was at the black virtual job fair I posted on here several weeks ago

:mjlol:

I told the recruiter at the fair that I’m surprised you guys are here cause I was told by one of your recruiters hiring was on hold. She said she would speak to the other recruiter.

I get a email 2 weeks later saying I was rejected. Best to say I’m not keeping in contact with that recruiter no more.
