Na
I walked into an open interview place when I lived in Phoenix
Was nothing but white woman, 1 gay dude, and 1 black woman

Woman barely asked me anything

As I'm walking out with a breh who was going to the same place that I kicked it with on the bus

We see another breh and he asks how was it

I tell him and he's like damn, I'm good and walks home

I had an interview that was scheduled for an hour, and ended at 5. It was a python coding challenge. I had no idea what I was doing, even with the help of ther person interviewing. He wound up staying past 5 as I struggled with the problem. I eventually got, but man, he took a deep breath and looked down at his desk (or something, it was virtual). I knew i wasnt getting that job

Another one was a different python coding round. There were 2 ways I could handle paging data coming from an API endpoint. I told them this, and they told me choose whichever one. I did. I finished the challenge and got the right answer, and then this nikka tells me "You should have used the total page size. I thought you said you had 4 years experience in python". I wanted to kick this bytch in his temple.

I'm much better in my python/sql coding challenge prep now, tho

this was the hiring timeline over 3 months for my current job

I submitted my application in February

1) Did a HR phone screening
2) First round of interviews with 3 people for a half hour each: 1 Skype interview with HR; 2 with members of the team (in person).
3) Did a 2 page case study
4) Second round of interviews with 2 people for half hour each: 1 with HR; 1 with a different member of the team (in person)
5) Had to submit 5 professional references. In my case I submitted 6.
6) Received a conditional offer letter on the final day in April while final background checks were being done.
7) Received a final offer letter a week later in May once final background checks were completed.

Drawn the fukk out but with what i can see at my job I can see why but damn.

During that time there was another company I applied to that was actually moving me a lot faster and then stopped in the middle of the process when HR was supposed to schedule me for an in person interview with the hiring manager. The hiring manager and I went to the same school for our MBAs at around the same time and she had reached out to me in LinkedIn in the beginning. It was so abrupt and I wasn't getting anything from HR so I messaged her directly saying I thought I was supposed to come in for an interview. She was also expecting me so she ended up following up with HR. It turned the HR rep had some shyt going on personally and professionally and fukked up a lot of shyt at work. My scheduling interview was one of them. Another HR rep had to step in and apologize profusely and scheduled my interview. It was a shame too because I went in there and I killed the interview with the 2 other people and the hiring manager of which me and her had a lot of College/MBA type of convo. But by the time they got the shyt together, my current job sent me the offer a couple days after and the money was too good for me to hold off.

I just had an interview.....i was interviewed for like 20 mins by 4 people.

Even the guard was like "well that was quick":mjlol:
That can either be good or bad.

It could be that they already want you, but are just rushing through it because it's just a formality.

Or it could be that they don't want you and just wanna hurry and get this shiit over with because they have lunch plans

Usually it's the latter though :francis:

I really hate white women in HR roles...these two positions were for Sr. System Admin roles...

The technical dudes were fine with how I interviewed and one was a Japanese dude who was so impressed he was trying to hook me up with his daughter...

It was the cac HR chicks gatekeeping, looking for any scrutiny to sink me.

I didn't get either position and checked the Linkedin months later and they hired basically two incels w/o a comp sci degree or much XP to oversee thousands of assets and dozens of services....

'You had an impressive resume but we're looking for someone who more closely align with the company's needs'

With that said if a place doesn't get back to you within 48 hours you may as well keep applying.

Had this happen to me a few years ago, they sent me the email 5-10 minutes and mind you it took me 7 minutes to even get inside the building :martin:
