These arent exactly interview siutations but they are a good indicator you are about to have your time wasted.
If your interaction with the company starts with someone emailing you about availability for a phone screening. If they're truly interested, they will call you directly and screen you on the spot.
If you hear "Hi, I'm _____from Robert Half Technologies"
Same goes for Tek Systems as well, I've been corresponding with them since 2018 and til this day, nothing has ever materialized from dealing with them, fukk them
IF a recruiter says their calling about some vague opportunities they think you'd be a great fit for, but first some quick questions.... They're just data mining and trying to look busy for their bosses.
IF they mention having more than a 2 phase hiring process. CyberArk told me they had 7 rounds of interviews, for a $61k annually, Systems Analyst position....
I've obtained $85k+ SysAdmin positions with the ease of signing up for a Costco membership but you want me to jump through the mother of all hoops for this shyt? I promptly told her to dont even bother and withdraw my application.
If an Indian recruiter calls you, you can be 99.5% sure it will lead to nowhere
It's not completely set in stone, but panel interviews is almost a dead giveaway you will more than likely not get the job just due to how group dynamics work. Not saying decline them, but be aware. Especially if more than 3 people are part of the panel. I've had panel interviews of 6 to 9 people.
check this shyt, Back in 2009, I interviewed for a groundskeeper position at a community college paying 9.82 an hr (Yeah I tend to hold onto shyt lol).
I had to be interviewed by 12 people on a panel for a trash man position....Muthafukkin 12 people!!!!!!.....all of them black, who might as well had been the staff of Blavity; Bunch of uppity over dressed azz negroes grilling me about my ability to put litter in a bucket and dump trash in a compactor for a whopping $9.82 an hour in a big azz c-level executive style office I had to walk through a boilerroom underneath the campus to even get to. All of them combative and standoffish. I didnt even know they had this many black people on staff, but apparently they keep them around in the basement just for this situation. It was the most demoralizing interview experience I ever had to the point caused a scene and chewed their azzes out for this over the top bullshyt; I decded I was gon go out like a soldier.
4 months later ,they extended me an offer lol... I already had a job paying 16/hr by then
I got hired off a panel interview once...only once in my entire work life...my bad twice.
My bad, but panel interviews trigger the shyt out of me lol
Mannn ... panel interviews for basic ass minimum pay jobs are the goofiest shyt. It's hilarious when fat, lame, or slovenly-looking peons act like they are worth something when talking to somebody they perceive as 'lesser'.
I was in this one interview similar to yours for some library position in a small college. There were a few regular ass men of various races, one 'lead' brother who was like one pf the folks you mentioned, and an older sister who wasn't all that bad looking.
By the end of the interview, I had an answer for every question, told them fools an intriguing tale, and had ol lady wet in her seat
Got an offer and declined it for a better one. Had them calling me repeatedly.
