Nick Chubb talkin bout rushing yards and carries....fukk all that....that's exactly what's the problem
Part of the RB call should be shifting the public narrative from runner back to "offensive weapon"
If you're a RB you should only be talking about your receptions, receiving yards, receiving touchdowns, and pass-blocking....pretty much anything related to passing
nah because it's about properly valuing rushing

it is the foundation of offense & the bail out that makes it possible for teams to gamble throwing it up

it also is the physically most demanding job in the sport

pay for production that's it that's all

One problem running backs have had is that teams realized raw receptions by them are overrated :mjlol:

You got 75 catches but half of them were dump offs on 3rd and 10 that went nowhere :russ:

But but but he’s basically a receiver too bro :dead:

:wow: The "Cadet Package": a 2-yrd. Out on 3rd and 6 :banderas:

Imagine watching your QB sail multiple passes in practice, games, clutch moments etc. just to see owners tripping over their feet to pay them but not you. Gotta be the most :mjcry: feeling
Imagine you Austin Ekeler and you can't get paid but your QB who couldn't complete enough passes to protect a 4 touchdown lead got the most money ever:wow:

Imagine waking up everyday and all you hear on tv and on podcast is how running backs don't get paid and aint nothing can be done about it, its a passing league, and then your quarterback who is exactly 1 game over .500 for his entire career just strolls in and sings for 218 million guaranteed because "he got a cannon" and "he going to have a breakout year" and "he got all the tools".:wow:

Imagine walking out and Herbert on the phone like "Mom I signed it. Yeah. Yeah it's the most money ever. Yeah it's even more than Lamar gets per year. No. No I haven't won an MVP. No. No I haven't won a playoff game. Well I played in one. Yeah I lost. Yeah we had the lead. How many points did we lead by? Uh 27 I think. Why they pay me all that money mom? Cause I got a big arm and I got all the tools and I'm going to have a breakout year. Nah nothing really changes, I don't need to do anything else. I can just win half of my next 50 games like I did my first 50 and its cool. I'll get an even bigger contract next time." :wow:

I blame media. They stay pushing narratives that affects players pockets. Oh u can draft a rb in the 5th round. Or all these bloopers of Russell Westbrook missing shots.

NFL owners finessed the players into accepting the rookie-scale contracts. While rookie scale freed up money for veterans, it also put downward pressure on their negotiating leverage since top drafted rookies are a much cheaper alternative. Before the rookie scale, rookies signing big contracts helped raise the floor for everyone. Adrian Peterson's rookie deal in '07 as the #7 pick was 5 yrs/$40.5M ($17M guaranteed). As a percentage of the current NFL salary cap, that contract is equivalent to $83.2M today.
Good insight. Adrian Peterson deserved that contract but the vast majority of first round picks didn’t.

It’s the Sam Bradford effect.

Honestly once 1st round picks got capped they should have less years on their contract to enter free agency, 3 years at most

Change the game
To 7 on 7

No running back or hand offs. Passes behind the line of scrimmage are acceptable

Less linemen, more skill positions

Make the league from discarded running backs that were “past their prime”
this is basically flag football :what:

Aaron Jones’ paycut has nothing to do with what the other guys are going through. Jones just wanted to stay in GB.
