When did I say "if ain't broke don't fix it"? :dwillhuh:

I read this critique from ABC Sports via ESPN about the trade:

"So since the Hawks are taking on the worse contract and the worse players, why are they also trading down in the second round?"

I also saw this on Sports Illustrated:

So please explain why or how this trade is a win?

And breh this isn't a playoff team even with Sap. This team got worse in the short term, the money is about even (Hawks saved a few million) and we traded down. Where on earth is that a good trade? :dwillhuh:

Y'all hated Wop that much?

Re: If aint broke..
I'm not talkin bout you breh lol. I'm saying in general, with this franchise. You already know I liked Dwight on the squad, but despite that I'm still ok with moving him. That's what the deal was all about. As it stands now, we got the short end of the deal and the moving down 10 picks :mindblown:

But who knows who the pick turns out to be or how Plumlee plays or even Bellineli if we keep him

It sucks Dwight couldn't have a memorable stint in his hometown as a part of his HOF career.

Like we didn't just watch the playoffs and finals. We are nowhere near the level of the cavs and warriors. Stars not coming here, nor do I want them to honestly because no combo of players gets us a championship for the next 2-3 years.

Plumlee is movable and half the price. He definitely not going to bytch about getting touches in the meantime. His pick n roll defense is great compared to dwight.

Move back 10 spots in the 2nd ain't like moving from 8 to 18. Same guys will be there at 41. Hell, you can buy 2nd rounders for cheap anyway.

Be competitive and we gon always be picking in the early 20's. Let's embrace the tank. Trust the process:mjgrin:

Honestly, I don't even know what we debating over anymore . We have no clue WTF is going on right now and the direction the franchise will take.:mjlol:

Are gonna be a playoff team?
Are we tanking?
Are we gone be a borderline playoff/lottery team?

Let's give Schlenk Da Hustla a chance and see what happens over the next 4 months

Check his interview with Chris Mannix from last week: 40:49 mark

When we gone crank up an offseason thread?

Breh Plumlee is on his 6th team. He's averaging 3 points a game. I think I can tell you how he's gonna play. Bellinelli is a bench guy who's an average shooter. But trading Wop for less talent, bad contracts and a worse draft pick. I'm not sold that you hate Wop that bad as a fit here that you just trade him for anything

I can separate my love for him and his trade value (which is low). From a skill/player profile perspective he fits on maybe 5-6 teams in this league and has all the "baggage" (whatever it may be), etc He aint commanding another team's best player or a middling lottery team's 1st round pick, he's just not. Seems like the Hawks didn't want to go into the season with him and risk tanking his value completely

I know you didn't like the fit, but again I agree with that. Like I said I'm interested in how the Charlotte experiment works
It will fail. He's not an impact player no more. On top of that, he is a terrible PnR big on both sides of the court and that's Kemba strength. This will flop especially when he starts losing his energy as the season moves forward

Who in their right mind would look at these moves and say  good job Schlenk

Plumlee won't play on this team and his contract is as bad as Wop's. If you have expectations of Plumlee making an impact ask Hornets fans how that worked out for them. Or Bucks fans. Or any of the other 3-4 teams he's made zero impact for at 12.5 million a year

I'm still baffled at what we gained that would make a Hawks fan happy? We went back 10 spots in the draft, took on bad contracts and garbage ass players. Why would I trust that process? Y'all wanna tank just to tank but like I been saying being bad isn't a strategy

That playoff streak over brehs:leostare:

yall front office shyt the bed. yall should have traded milsap last year when the raptors wanted to give up 2 1st rd picks for him. they got blinded by that fake win streak. yall could have 3 1sts in this year's draft, including yall own pick which probably would have ended up top 10 after the trade

They never offered that during the season. The best offer was during last year's draft. Phx offered what is now Marquese Chriss for Sap

Toronto best offer was a late 1st and trash ass Terrance Ross for Sap.
