So @Sly Cookin @Steezy @#1 pick what grade do y'all give this trade? I think most of us agree that Wop didn't fit but we disagree on the trade. I think it was a disastrous trade even if your main goal was to get rid of Wop because you didn't really gain cap flexibility or bring back young talent. But obviously y'all see it differently. How do y'all grade it? :jbhmm:

I think it's too early to truly give a grade. Got to see what pieces fall next. This could be a stepping-stone to something else.

But in terms of moving Dwight...

The ball movement automatically improves with no one trying to force-feed Wop.
The lane opens up tremendously for THJ, Dennis, Prince, and the other guards/wings.
Rebounding goes back to shyt.
Then PnR defense should improve given Wop's inability to step out.

Well know after the draft and before our 2nd round pick is up. If sindarius thornwell is taken ill be hot but so far a C+

We wasn't winning shyt with wop and i don't want his attitude around or young guys. TRUST ME plumlee will be moved

I give it a B. Would be higher if we moved up in the draft.

Given that there was a tweet a couple weeks ago saying GMs were polled and they agreed he was worth no more than a 2nd round pick, we were lucky to come out with just a trade back as opposed to giving the pick outright.

We broke his contract into pieces allowing us to make trades more easier. Bellinelli is a short term shooter for us or trade bait for a shooting hungry team. Plumlee a bum but he's got a movable contract at half the price of dwight. Plus he won't become a headache of he's not getting touches like dwight was.

Now if we gave pick 19, a future 1st, or one of the young guys like bembry I would be upset.

Ok I gotcha. I still feel it's a WOAT level trade for the simple fact you didn't gain true cap flexibility (yes Bellinelli will be moved, probably this season. Yes Plumlee will also be moved to a team too), but these are average to below average players and Plumlee's contract is league WOAT level for his skill & production level. I hated trading down in the draft while also taking on the worse players. I stand by a D+

As for these moves do y'all think this changes Bud's job security or even him wanting to be here? His GM is basically saying your personnel moves were/are shyt and I'm taking this team in a different direction. Do y'all feel like Bud might be lookin at Schlenck like :gucci: or am I reading too much into it?

I don't think Bud wanted Dwight here. Doesn't fit the system at all. Owner panicked after we knew Clapaveli probably wasn't going to sign.

I believe they are on the same page as far as players they want for the system. I think the only friction will come where schlenk won't overpay to keep a guy bud really likes. For example, schlenk probably has contract number in mind for thjr that is lower than what bud would be willing to pay.

All true but I just still wonder how Bud is gonna react to coaching a team full of guys who have no shot at the playoffs. And based off of his coaching history he's always been in the playoffs, how is he gonna handle what this team will look like and the direction it's gonna go is a big question mark
