I always loved the scene in the Wire where Marlo's character arc was wrapped up. Marlo leaves a room full of business men to go snatch a corner......and we had he ambiguous ending of recognizing that Marlo could only feel at home in the streets. Almost feels like poetic justice that Alpo went out on his shield the same way. He wasn't going to die a boring death in Maine with a regular job. He died the same way he lived his life.

Alpo was really short sighted. Dude could have been a fukking star in the media/podcasting game. He only knew what he knew. He could have dropped documentary, sold a book, did a pod and kept it moving

Unfortunately he didn’t have to real businessman in his era telling him this that media/podcasting route is more lucrative and he would be even more famous than doing that street corner shyt

Yup I knew credit card scamming was too sophisticated for this old nikka

He was selling dope :snoop:

55 years old selling dope in Harlem still in the nightlife mix out at 3 AM on Halloween :mindblown:
Baaaack in the day it was complicated, you had random servers, random mIRC chatrooms/servers to go through and score some #s, CVCs. Not to mention there were no English to Russian and viceversa translation sites. And good luck finding someone to sell you the rigs.
But today? Onion network be making it hella easy. The toughest thing is to have the money to buy everything lol
Not to mention modern printers / plastic wrappers so cheap and basically everything sold online - letters, glue, etc. just by searching?

Scamming wasn't too complicated for a guy like Alpo. It was too stress free. Too "square" ish for a sociopath like him. At the end of the day these killas are adrenaline junkies but just don't know it.
