I'm not really privy to the whole Alpo story---I've never seen Paid In Full, I don't follow hood blogs or sites or watch hood movies, and I've never really kept up with street figures outside of places I've lived and/or interacted with myself---; I'm familiar with his name and on a very basic level his story in a nutshell but not all the specifics. So if I know more on his relationship with Rich its possible my opinion changes...
But there's always a choice, bro. Killing someone is never the only option and is only the best option in a minority of scenarios; there's always a choice...

I used to look at it like that
cuz it was only a few hundred thousand rich got him for at that point
which was supposedly not alot of money to these dudes
so I used to think why didnt alpo just stop fukking with him instead of killing him
especially since he already has his own thing going on in dc by that time
but rich was a loose end
if rich gets booked who knows what information he coulda gave the feds on alpo

He was smart to throw the drugs out the window even after he was shot......his street instincts took over, he was worried about going back into the pen. It's a lot harder for law enforcement to prove the drugs are yours when they laying all out in the street.
But as most here saying, Alpo coulda lived the straight life and still made out.....started a podcast or blog, buy a house out in Jersey or Westchester with the fam and a new wifey and still live comfortable.
He coulda been on some Michael Franzese shyt, instead he goes back to Harlem right into the mix out in the streets at 3am at damn near 60 years old......
