have not been back to nyc in about 5 years, have not lived there in about 8.

shyt just got my mom a house in atlanta and she moving out of the bx in 3 days.

I always loved the scene in the Wire where Marlo's character arc was wrapped up. Marlo leaves a room full of business men to go snatch a corner......and we had he ambiguous ending of recognizing that Marlo could only feel at home in the streets. Almost feels like poetic justice that Alpo went out on his shield the same way. He wasn't going to die a boring death in Maine with a regular job. He died the same way he lived his life.




Alpo was really short sighted. Dude could have been a fukking star in the media/podcasting game. He only knew what he knew. He could have dropped documentary, sold a book, did a pod and kept it moving

Facts! Imagine having having the hood popularity of a movie star, mixed with some of the most outlandish street rumors of all time…and then people expecting you to live the quiet life of a librarian… that shyt was never going to happen. I read that when you get placed in the witness protection program, you have some say in what region you are in (West Coast, Mid-West etc.). The fact that he chose Maine says it all. He’s a (relatively)quick drive from Harlem where he can get right back in the mix.

Since alpo was still under fed protection, even if he was not abiding by the witness protection rules, would the feds investigate this:jbhmm: i imagine whoever did this might be facing some serious heat if the feds get involved.
