Another reason why churches need to get taxed. Guarantee they buy these house under the name of the "church" so they don't have to pay uncle sam. My uncle and his wife are well to do real estate agents in NYC and LI. They go to a church in BK and tithe 10% of their income. :mindblown: These are brainwashed people who do this type of shyt. Years ago they refused to drink (even had a dry wedding :snoop: ) cause the "pastor said the bible was against alcohol". My father says to them " :what: What are you talking about, Jesus loved to drink so much, he turned water into wine :russ: " Since then, they drink wine and champagne. :heh:
Giving ten percent of your wage to the church is not a bad thing because it is tax deductible.

Its pretty obvious how powerful the media is in swaying peoples opinion. One broad brush is now used to paint pastors as crooks and the congregation as sheep/prey.

:manny: I guess it is true that all black men people are criminals, thugs and rapists, just because of what is portrayed in the media and whatever incidents occur.

Good thing I am not swayed easily and from my own experiences, seeing things first hand and not being a sheep to the media, as many of you who are doing the same with the broad brush....then I can make my own opinions

play on players :troll:

Also, they probably don't have to pay taxes because churches are non-profit and their money comes from donations. If that's the case then they are making crazy money. :ohlawd:

I don't see anything wrong with an affluent pastor. I mean if he's heading a "mega church" I would almost expect him to be wealthy. This doesn't mean he's stealing from the church though. People pay to have weddings, meetings, conferences, etc in churches so that's a form of income. Also the preacher does speaking engagements that pay well.

And there is nothing wrong with tithing 10% of your income (after bills are paid though) because I think giving is important. So whether you give it to the church or a charity of your choice is up to the person but I think everyone could benefit from giving. Just because a church is a mega church doesn't mean the tithes are going to line the pastors pockets. They do community outreach as well sometimes on a greater level than a small church does and that's what's important. If you can see finances being managed properly at the church in the form of outreach or upgrades to the building, then tithe on. If you see the building dilapidating but the pastor getting a new car every year then something isn't right.

All mega churches aren't bad. All wealthy pastors aren't stealing from their congregation.

boy boy boy you gotta love the Lord Jeezus let's kids starving in Africa but takes care of his preachers praise the Lord even tho half of the congregation can't pay there bills in the name of JEEZUS.

Pastor needs a new pair of Gators god damn I need to get into the business of preaching hey a nikka can't find a job so might as well take advantage of a bunch of stupid people ( in the name of the Lord of course:ohlawd:)

:dwillhuh: Where in Africa are kids starving? Be specific.

I ask this because people paint this picture of Africa like its nothing but poverty.

When images are shown of China (which has a lot of starving people), images are shown of the elite, or of people doing well.
When images are shown of India (which has a lot of starving people), images are shown of the elite or of the people doing well.
When images are shown of Africa (which has a lot of starving people), images are shown of the refugees or of the poor people.

This skews the image and will leave you thinking that Africa is a big ass waste land, which doesn't make sense because it has most of the worlds natural resources.

This is why a lot of people on the-coli need to free them selves from mental shackles and actually think for themselves. Especially since most people here are black (or I would hope so) and realize that the same way they look at church as crooks, is the same way white people classify us as scum of the earth. Maybe 10% or so of black people are scum, ratchet, in prison no good, but you would believe that every-single-black-man are animals.

I know this is the internet though and in the microcosm which is the-coli...most earn 6 figures, most have it certs, most think all women are whores, most hate black women, most are atheists, most think nas lost, etc etc etc etc
