This is why a lot of people on the-coli need to free them selves from mental shackles and actually think for themselves. Especially since most people here are black (or I would hope so) and realize that the same way they look at church as crooks, is the same way white people classify us as scum of the earth. Maybe 10% or so of black people are scum, ratchet, in prison no good, but you would believe that every-single-black-man are animals.

I know this is the internet though and in the microcosm which is the-coli...most earn 6 figures, most have it certs, most think all women are whores, most hate black women, most are atheists, most think nas lost, etc etc etc etc

Of course all megas aint bad, but just as a human being, once you get that kind of money flowing it has to be awfully hard to not floss or get caught up.

one of my wife and I's high school friends went to school at the ITC (Interdenominational Theological Center) out at the AUC after he got his bachelor's so that he could become an preacher (his grandfather was a big AME preacher back where we lived in SC). The stories he had about the fukkery (LITERALLY) going on at that school with both male and female students studying to become preachers was rediculous.

I do think the majority of preachers are doing and start out wanting to do the right thing, but the money can fukk you up.

The thing I always ask myself though when looking at these affluent pastors is, and I'm not trying to be funny, "What would Jesus Do???"

I doubt VERY seriously he would be rolling around in a bentley and having his church members struggling. I doubt he'd have a million dollar house(s) with homeless people everywhere, etc. This is why I personally can't get with a mega church.

well my review is most of them are not under the Christianity umbrella they are what is called the Prosperity Gospel so..... I hate the fact that they thought it would be ok to get a show to praise their wealth while "preaching" the word of God because that's exactly what the Bible says not to do

Man, the Black Christian Community has so much potential in terms of making money off of it. fukk being the next Jay-Z or Big Meech, so many pastors are living that good life hustling off these sheep Christians. Just spout some bullshyt for a couple hours, pass a hat around and entice them by saying they'll get back tenfold what they tithe and the congregation will be to gullible to realize it. Instant profit.

I can't even hate on these brothers. Get it by any means necessary.

My ex tried to get me to come to this African church on the west end of toronto

dude drives a porche truck..and he asked for collection twice in the same session. That was enough for me never go back again..

edit: oh yea, and he switched buildings apperantly there was some "issues" with the bills being paid
