So Cal
whats wrong with that?
they both was regional as fukk. jadakiss doesn't belong on this list at all.

if cam should be on here for 02-03. purple haze delays had cam's nationwide popularity waning. he wasn't even the hottest out of his group in 05, juelez was bigger.

they weren't regional.

Juelz was bigger than cam in 05 commercially. but that's just part of the criteria.

Regionalism was pretty much dead by 2001.
Jada was super anticipated in 2001. He dropped the ball though.
I don't think either year was really noteworthy for Cam or Jada. :yeshrug:

you can argue for cam but jadakiss is the definition of regional. he don't got the sales, the albums, accolades, etc. all the criterias that he meets have an astersik next to them.

streets? of new york.
impact? in new york.
influence? in new york.

he don't got none of that shyt outside the east coast.

naw regionalism exists to this day. you think nikkas in Cali give a fukk about Joey Badass? i see east coast posters shyt on e40 all the time but he one of the biggest rappers on west coast.

never heard any of his shyt on LA radio, never heard of nikkas buying their albums, never got brought up in best rapper convos, etc. I've seen nikkas on here try to credit them with the downfall of 50 :childplease:like nikkas really think they were that big of a deal? nobody was checking for their disses.

its a bunch of east coast acts who are kinda overrated like that.

Sure. But nothing like in the early to mid 90s.

Yes.

That's because he is a product of a time when regionalism existed. And he has a very unconventional style.

I was 20-21 in 2001 so I was past the point where I cared about radio. I was getting everything I needed online :blessed:
I know people who listened to Jada albums :yeshrug:
And he was being hyped up as the next big thing in 2001. You have to remember this was the tail end of the whole Ruff Ryders movement. Which was nationwide.

jada's 1st 2 albums went platinum. and his 3rd album was one of the top-sellers for the year, iirc.

you cant be a regional east coast artist and go platinum.

sidenote: new York is not a region.

new york/east coast same shyt. :manny:

and i agree with you, which is exactly why he is regional. he has one platinum group album due to the bad boy stimulus, everything after is a flop.
