lol didnt even see this. peep my post above. Em is def 2000. Nelly is hard because his albums usually came out in the summer and singles would bleed into the year.

To me 2001 and 2002 are better than 2000 though. The real answer is prolly 2002 for Nelly due to the main stream success...and AIr Force ones
I could see 2000-2001 for Country Grammar...but I could also see 2002 for Nellyville. Hot in Here >>>>

If you've never heard any of the Shady underground tapes you're in for a huge surprise, he's got an entire hidden catalogue of flame that he made between 95-2000

yea I heard a lot of it.

but when you use terms like "murdering the underground", you give off the perception that he was running isch.

..Wasn't he though?. He did sign with Aftermath in '98. That's like being drafted to the Yankees after high school

well for starrters, aftermath was an utter flop in '96 and was doing nothing in 97-98. aftermath didn't mean anything when they signed Eminem.

besides, just because you got a deal, it doesn't mean you were THAT dude beforehand.
aftermath had eve of destruction & the last emperor back in the day. no disrespect to them. last emp is NICE and eve is a legend, but they were nowhere near running chit in philly before they got signed.

Eminem was buzzing underground tho. he was known for battling and had a big buzz with the purist crowd. duck down & no limit wanted him too.
