Secret abortion. Would’ve saved us from Andy Garcia in Godfather 3
:whoa: he was the only good thing about 3…he was annoying in act 1 but when he bossed up he delivered. This was one of the hardest scenes in the series

3 sucked but other than fukkin his cousin he was a good character.

Above the fray.
But i think Luck is saying that that son would’ve likely stayed in the crime family, and Vincent would’ve stayed a fukk up on the outside. Connie was grooming Vincent into the don…its unlikely BOTH Corleone sons avoid the family business.
I think Mike had the same plans for his (aborted) son that Vito had for him. Senator Corleone.

It was disgust, that Fredo's insecurities allowed him to be manipulated.
Same look he had when Moe Green said, "So, I had to slap Fredo around, to straighten him out"
"Straighten out my brother?"

Fredo is weak. That's what turns his stomache. But he was dead the minute he set Michael up. He was of no use to the others if Mike died.
I believe Michael was going to let Fredo live and chalk it up as Fredo being naive........until Fredo started ranting about getting passed over

"Taking care of me?", "Did you ever ONCE think about that?"

He fate was sealed after that.

Once the Mother died, Fredo was gone. That's the only reason he was alive at that point.
. That scene was only included to explain Fredo's motive for selling out his brother. And show how he was manipulated.

If we are talking whose betrayal is the biggest on an emotional level and storywisw it is fredo, which you mention but second is a three way tie between Fabrizio, Paulie, and Carlo. Each one wounds the Corleno family in ways they never recover. One takes the don out of the picture and puts Michael on a path he didn’t want. One takes away the type of women Michael would need to be in the life he chose Kay because Kay knew the man he wanted to be not who he had to be and became for his family. Apelonia would of been the rock and emotional support he needed in godfather 2 and Carlo removed Sonny off the board and once Michael removed him off the board it caused a rift between him and Connie that doesn’t heal until their mother dies.

What did fredo do again?

What information did he give up? Did he know they were gonna shoot up Michael house?

Fabrizio …. IMO Mikes whole life was put in this man’s hands. Just think about it, dude had his bags packed ready to JET once that bomb went off…. Dude literally risked it all for a green card. If you got the extended version of part two it has a scene of Mike checking on a hit he put on fabrizio in New York, killing him by car bomb the same way appolonia died. If appolonia lived I think Mike would have never turned fill demon mode. Even tho he clearly was a savage back at the moment he wanted to kill the Turk and the cop who broke his jaw. Mike was THOISTY to mark them fools….
shyt I'd argue Mike was on demon mode back in the Pacific War as a Marine.

Dude was decorated so you know he got a couple Jap bodies :wow: ..His family overlooked that. The Marines faced some of the worst fighting of the entire WW2. Only the Eastern front in Russia compares in savagery.

Sonny: this ain't the army where you shoot em from afar...you gotta get up close and BANG!!!!.....

It is ambiguous in the film. The general belief (and mine) is that he gave up plans or access to the Lake Tahoe property, with the belief that Roth and Ola were going to send people to 'scare' michael and kidnap him. Specifically in the original script, hagen says "fredo thought it would be a kidnapping".

They instead shot up the bedroom. Which is why Fredo is surprised it was a hit.
