man this was my only gripe with this flick. They tried to play the hell outta nikkas from NC. Like we all are some huckleberry, backwoods country ass bammas.
Come to The QC, The Triad or The Triangle and try that Country slow shyt.

Keep in mind, this movie was set in the late 1980s.

North Carolina was definitely huckleberry backwoods country then. In 2014, im sure with the influx of transplants, its not as country anymore.

Yeah…love this movie, since we rented it from Blockbuster in 99 and dubbed it on the double cassette recorder vcr…Very timeless kind of coming of age feel to it, I didn't go to school in Inglewood, but it's so easy to relate to all the misadventures and teenage angst, that it hardly matters…which is really the mark of classic movie, esp. one dealing with growing up and memories of high school and before...
