The attempts to squash discussion on this between brehs by calling us "c00ns" or "Karens" is telling. Dare I say had this been anyone but a black man on the receiving end of a televised assault, there would be no equivocation about whether it was truly an act of violence. But black men are expected to accept and internalize that type of behavior. Meanwhile we have to listen to shyt everyday about our "toxic masculinity", male privilege or perceived acts of aggression towards society. But against another black man alllllll that shyt goes out the window.
Ain't a single brother in here trying to see Will Smith cancelled so let's fukking drop that strawman. I don't care what white people or women, black or otherwise, have to say about this. We should be able to discuss this candidly amongst ourselves without all that forced intersectionality bullshyt. We're constantly being told that black men don't know how to resolve conflict, or black men don't know how to adequately protect our women, or black men lack emotional intelligence. Alright, bet, now a situation presented itself for us to unpack all that. What is the problem? We can remain on code without trivializing this to such a degree that "we're just gonna let Will slide and pray for him". fukk all that.
