I am not asking for Will Smith to be excommunicated from cinema. AT ALL.

I actually have sympathy for him. Mental health struggles can be the worst type of pain. (I know)

I find myself taking this Oscars situation so serious because it is deeper than Will and Chris. It's about relationships/engagement between black men.

In the court of black opinion, I just don't see how anyone can justify a black man - based off of previous public trauma NOT RELATED TO CHRIS OR ALOPECIA - straight emasculating another black man - who wasn't even joking on the entanglement shyt.

People talking about it was out of line. That is the biggest mystery for me. Compared to much of the hard hitting digs I've heard during awards shows; this was NOTHING.

Not only that; being compared to GI Jane is really not an insult.

Young black boys do not need anymore fukkboy mentality seeping into the way they handle shyt.

My goal, in a confrontation, is ALWAYS to maintain a level of pride and respect being perceived of me by anyone watching and by the other breh that I'm in the confrontation with.

We both do not want to fight. You learn that - outside of the small amount of nikkas on demon time - both parties just want to be able to survive the confrontation without being embarassed.

It's why both me and another nikka could be in each other's faces and yelling our side but it can cool down.

If the slap connected, he could have just said "Let's speak backstage". Then resolve things there.

Only person who will know whether Chris is a winner or loser is him true say. People have their reasons for why they responded the way they did. Only he will know if he let the matter drop for the sake of the show or because he didn't want another slap.
