Not really breh, people have to take selecting a spouse seriously. If there are glaring red flags dont enter into a marriage. I agree the court system is gonna screw the man over bad and could lead to a woman tricking a man into marriage to split his bucks. But there are usually red flags that were ignored. Brehs just gotta tell these women straight up "sorry, you aint the one." And hopefully say it before they have a child with them.

Marriages are good, but dont let societal pressure, family pressure, significant other pressure make you enter into a marriage where there were obvious signs.

it's not about signs it's about structure
a lot of men don't want to deal with marriage and the CONSEQUENCES of divorce no matter what type of woman they chose
hence my point about your entire existence being about making sure your wife doesn't become unhappy enough to divorce
because unlike a relationship that you can walk away from, you have something to lose if it doesn't work
a lot of men don't want to live the existence that you will have to live due to how divorce court is set up

I can't fully get behind GMB, especially when it comes time for kids. GMB would only work in both parties decide to remain single and childless. Bringing children into this world will always be best done in a married 2 parent household (there are exceptions obviously, but generally speaking).

I do think American family laws need a serious re-think. Divorce is too easy to initiate in this country. That no-fault divorce thing needs to be re thought. Then there's sharing the assess but that's a different story.

I finally got divorced this year after a 12-year relationship and 7 yr marriage

I don't hate women, I love good women, so that incel shyt is a dumb accusation.

But the peace of mind I have now is unmatched. went on a solo holiday to Hong Kong earlier this year and I forgot just how freeing this shyt is. Answering to nobody, I thank the lord I do not have kids. And that my ex wife was level headed enough to know we have assets together that meant it would be dumb to hit that nuclear button.

Other men are not so lucky and get damn near destroyed if they have more assets than their wife.

I very likely will not get married again. It took a year and a half to get divorced and cost money but again me and my ex discussed that we wanted to keep costs low and not give our hard-earned money away to lawyers.

Now I'm officially divorced, have a solid selection of lady friends. At some point, I may get into a relationship again but I'll hold off on marriage.

I'm telling you being unhappy sitting in a marriage is not the wave. That shyt will lead to bitterness.

Its bittersweet for me tho, bitter part is only seeing my daughter on weekends but sweet part is not dealing the terminator style pettiness of someone you cant get along with. We were together for 14 years married for 6, but by the end of it , it was pure unhappiness even after giving counseling a go. Even the goddamn therapist said you guys need to split smh

If you got a female that you CAN GENUINELY ViBE WITH 24hrs a day and you and her are both on the same frequency day in day out while living together, then by all means marry her if thats what you want and you really love her. But any man that says that herb ass "happy wife happy life " shyt is a bozo espicially if hes unhappy. Both parties should mutually be trying keep each other happy


You have ONE LIFE to live fellas, i doubt you get to do this shyt again make the right choice for your health and happiness

Ideally, I want to get married at some point but it’s almost 99.9% unlikely going to be to a westernized woman. You just have to look at most women’s comments and mentality when it comes to high profile divorces (Dr Dre for example).

There’s an idealistic view of weddings but not a realistic one of marriage. There’s hardly any stigma or shame when it comes to divorces. Now I’m not saying in other cultures, that women don’t divorce their husbands either but that truly is a last resort as they know being a divorcee puts an asterisk next to their name.

A lot of women here have no shame and will initiate a divorce in a second, once they get bored or when marriage isn’t what it cracks up to be. At least for the most part, men will try and make it work. More so because they have more to lose.
