I like the album but I agreeOne of them albums where there's not much bad but also not much great. Very middle of the road on the nose Weeknd music. The standouts for me are "I can't wait to get there" and "enjoy the ride". Everything else is easy listening but not very memorable. Good background music for when you're chilling. You can pretty much predict exactly what every weeknd album will sound like at this point.
he got bigger with max martin production2011 to 2018 (EPs, LPs, and even the singles on OST like '50 Shades of Grey', writing/vocals on 'Take Care')
Weeknd had an amazing 7 year run...all the BS after 2018, I'm going to assume it's not for me.
I don't follow his career closely; what happened after 2018?
Yep. That sound has it's limits and even though I'm a fan of it, I can only listen to so much of it. Was about half way through when I said to myself "damn, this is still going?" and that's when I saw the album length. The synth sound also starts to wear thin as the album progresses.
This ain't good smh
The 2nd half is much better than the first
This nikka just chatting shyt on expensive production. 85 minutes of empty, pointless music with zero bops
I haven't liked a Weekend EP or LP since "My Dear Melancholy,"
yall might like the stuff from the show better. seemed to me like he was able to dip back into darker sounds like his older stuff w/ the showI like house and eletronic music but if you came from the House of Ballons Abel I can see what some folks wouldn't like it.
Its pretty dope i like 12 out 22 tracks i deleted 10
