How do you think it will play out?

Affirmative Action is gone in public and private schools:

Black Americans will have to wake up and do better culturally and politically.

Just look at California schools that ended affirmative action 25 years ago. It’s no secret how this plays out. Don’t vote friends.

Top tier black students are still going to get into the top schools if they choose.

Problem will be for regular students trying to get into those institutions.

Obviously, networking at Harvard isn't the same as networking at Hampton.
Bro these Ivy schools are not about top tier.it is about building and maintaining an elite.

C'mon breh, you cannot be serious. :mjlol:

A brotha who went to Harvard will have innumerous opportunities compared to his counterpart who went to Hampton.
You are right but degrees do not hold the same weight as once before, which is why I stated it does not really matter. :manny:

The end goal is to get a good paying job, and there is plenty of people nowadays that are making six figures who don't hold a degree, or got a degree from a non-ivy school.

The real value is networking at these ivy schools but again your networking opportunities would probably be more valuable at a place where you are valued, like a HBCU.

"permanent underclass" I can only imagine the ramifications of this now.
We’re already the permanent underclass and have been so for decades.

Are you dense? This is just another wakeup call to those who are too wrapped up in the neoliberal kool aid.

I think a lot of people suggesting schools will use 'indirect' ways to incorporate race in the future are in for a rude awakening.

This is now the interpretation of federal law. A GOP president could use the Justice Department to file charges against schools that they claim use any kind of benefit for Black folks--even as far as using warrants to uncover info. Once this happens to a couple of schools, the rest will back down out of fear.
