He’s bashing the gift, saying the gun is a replica.

Tony B doesn’t know where his daughter is, so looking at Meadow and Tony S bothers him because he has no relationship with his daughter since he was locked up.

And low-key resentful, he went away and stood tall, and for what? To be an errand boy for your selfish, fat, greedy, scumbag cousin?

He was thinking.."If I didn't go away...this mansion and life would be mine, I'd have my kids, street cred, and maybe even boss. Now all I got is a musty casino and a failed attempt at a massage parlor"...

His Free Agency was a disaster..Angelo was an awful coach lol...

Back to Tony, he had to preserve his and his Dad's ego when talking about Fran..."She was like JFK's girlfriend!!!!" Lol...He even lies to Fran, Valentina is just an average thotty from NJ but Tony paints her (pun intended) as..."She's Latin...like from Spain" to make her appear classier smh..

I saw it as a sad scene, pathetic even, all of his bravado is built on a lie, same goes for the rest of the guys. Always trying to one-up each other with the outrageous lies and ducktales....smh...

All to preserve their little egos....

random but idk how I forgot about this scene :russ:

Also a good choice of music. Phil Leotardo says Tony called him “the Shah of Iran”. The song ‘Rock the Casbah’ is about a ruler who bans music, it was written due to Khomeini banning music in Iran after the Islamic Revolution (when the Shah got overthrown)

The lyrics also talk about “the radiator grill”, where Phil made grilled cheese in prison.

It was. He was in therapy telling Melfi stories about how terrible his father was. He knows it, but just goes into denial and shifts blame over to his mother.

Meadow boyfriend so sick of this hoe nagging him that he fell asleep in the middle of it. His brain said we can't take no more of this and hit the off switch:wow:

Meadow during the “you brought out a suitcase!” scene is as about as annoying as any character in any show ever.

Dude is worried that a mobster is going to murder him and she turns it into “you just don’t want to commit” and goes on and on about the suitcase.

He proposed to her so she would shut up :mjlol:

It's annoying but that's real life. :wow:

I wish I had an off switch like Meadow boyfriend or Data from Star Trek TNG so I could just turn myself off when these women get annoying :wow:

We saw the toxic nature of both Carmela and Tony reflected in her relationship with Finn. Finn is terrified of being killed or raped by a fat and dangerous mobster and she never once shows any concern. Not once.

On previous episode she cooked chili on a sweltering NYC summer in an Apt with no A/C. She mocked him for wanting to go home to get some sleep before his shift started.

Noah knew to hit and quit it.

The whole strip club Camelot scene also, of course, underscores all of their inability to be vulnerable, and have true friendships, which sounds funny, but it affects things. They even keep guards up with each other, which leads to the deep deep kind of self deception/delusion that Tony is constantly trying to unravel in therapy, because it leads to shyt like panic attacks and impulsive, destructive behavior.

It's not that Meadow lacks empathy, any more than most 20 something's in their first relationships, lacking empathy and a wider view of the world, that would allow them to lower the stakes a little

it's the same self deception/self delusion as Tony, but for different reasons, she can't really acknowledge the violence (and Vito's homosexuality) that feeds her family, because she can't really admit that to herself, much less Finn's soft ass. That's not her self image. She can't shatter it.
