That's life though, and partly what makes Sopranos the GOAT.
And I gotta disagree with the brehs @Whips-n-Chains and @Ari Gold Bawse . It does absolutely play a part in the decision making and life of Dr. Melfi, it's even brought up in some of her personal scenes.
It's just not spelled out for us because she doesn't involve Tony (not really a spoiler since you asked..) and because we don't spend THAT much time with her.
Remember - she was thinking of dropping Tone as a cliënt when S3 started..
A lot of the storylines that people consider "dropped" absolutely inform character motivations/development that take place after, it just doesntget spelled out or addressed directly - because that's life and as Chase said, "this is a show about people constantly lying to each other and pretending, kind of like life".
We're used to TV shyt like Breaking Bad where the most minor shyt gets wrapped up nicely and explicitly somewhere for us to see, The Sopranos is not that
Reminds me irl about how many ppl actual chase their dreams/passions and instead work a job they don’t really like, just to live and get by.his heart was chasing that other world throughout the series, but in the end he chose damnation instead of what he truly cared about.
I could never get the Italian with English subtitles for Gomorrah on HBO max. Stupid a fukking showHBO & prime. MUST watch in native Italian language with English subtitles
You have to go in and change the settings…sometimes every single damn episode on HBO max.I could never get the Italian with English subtitles for Gomorrah on HBO max. Stupid a fukking show
Don't have the subscription anymore, but on the app for me, I never had the option to switch the language. I was using an iPhone 10 at the time. You have to go in and change the settings…sometimes every single damn episode on HBO max.
You have to change audio to Italian and subtitles to enter. Very annoying why the app doesn’t have it automatic, or doesn’t remember the preference.
100% it's worth buying....I'll probably rewatch it again, or at least the first couple seasons, next month. It's nothing like any American shows...nothing like Sopranos at all...no humor at all, very little love scenes or none-crime related stuff. Much darker, much more violence. The music is fire af. The story is full of backstabbing, triple crossing, and any character can get it at any time.Don't have the subscription anymore, but on the app for me, I never had the option to switch the language. Was considering just buying the dvds on Amazon since I keep hearing good things about the show

The Neapolitan Mob’s Most Dangerous Family
One of the Neapolitan underworld’s most powerful bosses, Paolo Di Lauro was invisible to the Italian police for most of his career. But since his 2005 capture, William Langewiesche reports, some wonder if Di Lauro was the only man capable of controlling Naples’s meanest streets. Photographs by...www.vanityfair.com

@Whips-n-Chains do you have the sopranos series on DVD?
Dope. Yeah I bought the DVDs awhile ago. I'm waiting until I move out of my mom's house to actually start watching them.I do not, but I probably should in case HBO Max starts taxing.
I’ve heard on the Blu-ray there’s the director commentary, where different writers/directors/cast give commentary thru each episode. That would make it worthwhile too
