I do not, but I probably should in case HBO Max starts taxing.

I’ve heard on the Blu-ray there’s the director commentary, where different writers/directors/cast give commentary thru each episode. That would make it worthwhile too

You have it the dvds?

I copped the blu ray set as soon as it was available

Definitely recommend

Is there the directors commentary I was talking about?

Jw about addition features and such. I’ve seen most episodes like 20-30 times by now with some exceptions. Probably have only seen “made in America” 5 times but it’s an incredible episode

Sorry I had to go and find the boxset to see what was included but it has 2 roundtable dinners with the cast & crew, An in-depth interview with Chase, Lost scenes, & 25 audio commentaries and I do remember rewatching episodes and seeing the option for commentary with them.

it was being set up for her to testify against Tony.

I feel like her passing sent the show in a better direction...not to say I'm happy she died or anything:whoa:

It's just that the court case with her & Tony there could've gotten real silly whereas the show really started to set a more serious tone in S3

I’d be interested to know how the show was supposed to play out if the actress didn’t die.

Originally, Chase was going to have Tony actually smother her with the pillow in S1, but the actress, knowing she had terminal illness (cancer?) asked him to keep her working as long as possible so he kept her in the show til she actually passed. This is why her role in S2 is minor, compared to S1…she wasn’t intended to be there, plus she was sick.

Had she not passed, in S3 she was going to testify against Tony about the airline tickets (according to chase). Not sure if he’s mentioned other plot lines or how her character would’ve ended up.

Holy shyt! Smothering his mom would have made the audience realize Tony was a monster right off the bat. The way things worked out, I (and I think most of the audience) didn’t realize or accept what a monster Tony was until the last season.

Another thing I love about this show is the music. the music director is an unsung hero. As a hip hop head, this show put me on a lot of music I would have never listened to if not for the show and it’s so diverse.

It’s because of Sopranos that I became a Frank Sinatra fan. :heh:
