Ngl the show is kind of famous for that...back in the day, I remember waiting years thinking Massive Genius (Bokeem) was going to come back on Hesh, thats when I realize there are a lot of self-contained story lines that are for 1 episode or maybe just a couple, within a season.

The show pretty much adds or drops characters as it sees fit...it's hard to even notice b/c the character development is so good...just like when ralphie randomly appears, or GiGi, or Carlo...like where tf does Carlo come from? I don't even remember? He was in the background for a while and then slowly starts to appear more often...same with how Vito started...vito was all the way back in S2 (lol or S1 as Gino) when Richie sends them to build a ramp up beansie's ass.

I hate that. I like it when stuff that's made to be a huge point in the story have a payoff at some point.

Watching s4e2 right now, and this conversation between Tony and Sil in the basement is intense.

Tony really got nobody he can truly trust. Which makes sense, considering they're all criminals.
