I'm not pro anything but here is a scenario I kicked around in my head.
From my understanding, the neo-nazi element holds no political power, for now. Again, someone correct me if I'm wrong but my understanding is they have a system like ours where there is upper part of government like our senate and this Azov element has no seats there. Then they have another section of government like our house with a lot more members and I think I remember seeing they had only a few members there. But this is like UKIP in the UK or whatever that far right party is in Germany who have negligible seats in their government.
But they did integrate them into their national guard as a fighting force after the 2014 invasion. Objectively speaking, it's hard to be against just have some warm bullet bags to do fighting against an invading force and their ideology stance I imagine becomes less important than if they can shoot a Russian or not.
But here is the scenario I imagine. I've read up on this group and it appears to me they are very much pro Ukrainian ethnic identitarians and anti Russia. Part of the appeal of the Nazis with them is how anti-Russian they were. It appears, to me, they play a part in being a group to rouse nationalistic attitudes in the Ukraine and with that comes more people will to die "for the cause". Let's say they are successful in pushing Russia out. No doubt these ultra nationalist groups will grow in membership and with that comes more political power. I can imagine in such a scenario where Ukraine is victorious, the neo nazi element becomes even worse because they are a bait for nationalist and patriotic tendencies in the country. Could easily imagine them even becoming the dominate force in the country.
Is that something we should fear in the future? This is shyt worth thinking aboutt
