Ransomware attacks haven’t really spiked and have been going on for a while now; across the world and hitting random victim organisations. If they were more targeted organisations who were involved with any anti-Russia activity e.g. US/EU manufacturing, etc. then maybe it would be more eye opening.
And it wasn’t Toyota who got ransomed, it was a parts supplier. But obviously Toyota are the bigger name draw for the tweet.

So if the Russians are losing and with these sanctions, what’s Putin’s end game here? I doubt that lunatic will bow down.
Socia media changed the game. And China could've helped via TikTok and the control it has over the younger gen but the mad man Trump already compromised it and there isn't much they can do.
I still believe Russia can salvage it down south in Africa, West Indies and South America (it has MENA on lock based on the comments coming out of there thus far - even the Saudis). The country probably should've used the African/Caribbean and Indian students fiasco to push it agenda to other places. And a clear military victory in the next few days would kill a lot of noise.
EU has been on its death bed for a while now and it just took another bullet. And once this shyt is over - the US will abandon it again like it has been doing for a decade now. And they will soon crawl back to China for another bailout.
The UK is also going to lose a lot as our economy took a big beating with covid and it hasn't fully recovered. Coupled with its dependence on money laundering via Russia since the banking industry carries the economy. The US has the luxury of being able to print money but if India, China and Russia (the whole Shanghai Cooperation) can use this as a catalyst to create an alternative to SWIFT - that would be the game changer and what will hurt the US on the longrun.
Russia is very resource rich and it's business as usual since they hardly import anything and are self-sufficient. Another thing is that, with global warming and ice melting in Siberia - within the next 2-3 decades - Russia will most likely become the food basket of Europe. Apparently, the land there is very fertile.

They don't want to do this in Ukraine and they're better off letting Putin keep EWS out of this like he has done thus far.
