will smith is a safe nikka for sure but he comes from two black parents, and married a black woman to produce black children. it's not like they're out there casting will smith to play racially ambiguous roles, you know he's a black man -- which is why he rarely has a love interest with sex scenes.
as regards to the other questions, i understand it's a slippery slope. halle berry has been undermining black women for decades now. her daughter probably will too judging from the way things are going now. i'm just saying there has to be a standard. do we take zoe saldana as nina simone because it'll sell more? i mean, i just choose not to support 'em but i wish more blacks followed suit.
