The Rock is Playing Luke Cage?

He's half African American so I see no problem with him playing Luke Cage.

Regardless of who you cast odds are it's gonna be someone who either doesn't quite look the part or isn't a capable enough actor/leading man.

half ain't good enough for me i just wont support the film if they go that route.

i remember a time when movies use to break unknown talent. now it seems like studios just go towards actors who already has a their own brand. i just hope they don't pull the similar jew tactics and have a mixed breed playing black panther.

Luke Cage isn't a character that's well known enough to release a movie without the lead being a fairly well known star.

You can get away with that with Spider-Man, Superman, Batman, Hulk, Wonder Woman, The Fantastic Four and even Flash.

Luke Cage on the other hand need a big name it draw in audiences.

well its either that or no movie at all. theres not many black leads hollywood is willing to put money on

Actually the only guy I could think of who could pull it off if given a shot who's a virtual unknown would be Henry Simmons....

U nikkas bytch about everything talking about him not being black enough most of the roles he takes are black roles or that of mixed race

u should be happy marvel are even considering this instead of bytching about this like someone said no nikka had any problems claiming him as black in the early 2000's

The look of Bruce Wayne isn't nearly as important as the Look of Luke Cage.

How Luke looks physically is actually a big part of his character. He's a large muscular man. There's no amount of bulking up that Snipes or Epps could do to pull that look off.

Terry Crews looks the part but he can't carry a movie and people pretty much look at him as a goofball.

After watching Rock in Fast 5 and hearing stories about him during his days at Miami U I think he can pull off Cage.

Luke Cage's personality is a huge part of who he is too.. it's partly what separates him from every other comic book character with super human strength.

The Rock is more than capable of capable of carrying the movie physically.. My only real gripe with him taking the role is him going into the role talking like Barack Obama, spewing one liners... like he does in every other action movie he's been in. Him playing Hobbs in FF5 and throwing around "Sum bytch" isn't convincing me otherwise. LOL

As far as Terry Crews goes.. he could be just as capable of carrying the role as The Rock. People thought the Rock was a goofball when he was doing Disney movies. Hell, they thought he was a goofball because he came from WWE.. He's had the luck and time to reimage himself tho..

Gotta throw in a white guy for box office sales. If thats the case, we need to be arguing who Hollywood gonna cast as Misty Knight-my comic book crush
