The plot for Final Fantasy X is crazy

Tidus was a 17 teenage BOY... a star blitzball player who was literally ripped from his world to chase after his father whom he hated...wtf did you expect? he matures through out the game. Of course you wouldn't know a thing about character development. How was the any worse than cloud's depressing ass? and you say the battle system was ass? lol. It kills me when dudes who only played ff7 talk shyt about battle systems when ff7 had the most basic of them all.

Cloud is the reason most of the mains after him like Squall and Lightning are pieces of shyt. Cloud never even developed as a character. After they tore him down he went back to who he was before then regressed even worse in the sequel. At least Squall and Lightning developed beyond their initial a$$hole like personality.

Zidane and Tidus are on another level from any of them.

Glad to see IX getting some love in here, really underrated and not as cartoonish as it looks although it does have its moments.

8 was the best I've played. I've seen people shyt on Squall and I don't really know why. Dude was one of the more well rounded characters I've ever seen in a game. Sure for like two disc he was some emo silent type but dude went through a bunch of shyt and probably had the most legit romance I've ever seen between two characters in a game.

Kinda sucks that his pops was a faq though hated that Laguna shyt.

He did have quistis vagina on a platter and was like no thanks

Im still on disc one so I haven't gotten the whole picture yet.

FF8 isn't slept on at all. It just had the worst cast of characters including the worst hero in FF history (besides Vaan). None of the characters are memorable at all. People only remember Squall cuz he was emo and had a cool weapon, the Griever gunblade.

to me the PS1 Final Fantasy games were released in order from worst to best with the worst being 7 and the best being 9.

the fact that the last boss in FF9 appears out of thin air immediately left a sour taste in my mouth about that game (although in saying that I do remember enjoying playing that game)

all in all, FF7 was really the only final fantasy from the playstation era where I actually cared about what happened to the characters, what happened in the story and played multiple times

but the characters were so wack and sawft (except the gawd auron )

so I guess that's why I hate that game so much and couldn't fukk with it

only FF13 has a collection of characters more gay than FF10...


FF games are so story driven I have to fukk with the characters to give the games my full attention

People love to shyt on X-2 because it went from the overly dramatic X where you saw the destruction of Zanarkand at the beginning.... to a pop concert in the next game.

But X-2 had one of the best battle systems in the series. And was not as linear as X was.

that game is a train wreck. the only reason the game is so beloved is Sephiroth and Aerith dying. to me the PS1 Final Fantasy games were released in order from worst to best with the worst being 7 and the best being 9.

That's a lil unfair breh. FF7 is also beloved because it was pretty ground breaking in terms of RPG's with great graphics AND storyline. Maybe I'm not remembering right, but I think Wild Arms and Beyond the Beyond were the only RPG's I'd played before FF7 came through and crushed the buildings. I also think 7 > 8...Worst protagonist ever. 9 is hands down the best though imo. ...And Suikoden 2 shyts on all of 'em (I'm playing through that again right now).

This thread made me want to dig up my PS2 and play through FFX again though. I remember being HYPE for FFX-2 but bored of it by a quarter of the way through. I wonder if that elaborated on the plot any going forward?

You foolin' breh...Laguna was dope so was Zell, Seifer, Irvine were dope...the problem was the game was so focused on developing the Squall/Rinoa and Laguna angles the damn game forgot to have a primary antagonist.
Look up the "Squall is dead" theory and it'll make you look at the game different.



FF7 is still a personal favorite of mine, its one of the easiest of the FF's to play. The problem was Cloud wasn't even a real nikka, dude was basically Zack until he fell in the life stream (Crisis Core was dope in showing how much more i'll Zack was that emo ass Cloud).

It also suffered from the fact that almost everyone is more interesting than Cloud. Tifa, Barrett, Sepiroth, the Turks, Cid...all these people were more interesting that the person who was the "main" character.

9 was cool all around, but i guess the setting was a bit off putting to me. Still prolly the best all around of that era...X was better to me...but again the events surronding Tidus were more interesting that he was. Not to mention having OG's like Auron and Kihmari.

All FFs are great to a degree except II, III, and XIII.

Those are just average games.

Best FFs IMO are XII, VIII, V, and VI not including spin offs. Shame most ff fans won't be caught dead playing the 2d games. FFIV-VI offer so much quality.

That said I can think of something positive for all FFs.
