XII has the game play on lock. :gladbron:

Journeying into a cavern or mine where enemies are 20-40 levels above you to get rare loot and surviving due to a combination of luck and skill. :gladbron:

The monster hunts are the best damn boss fights in the series :lawd:

Every single spell has a use and isn't wasted space like in VII-X :lawd:

That customization allowing you to make whoever the fukk you want from a blank slate :gladbron:

The last FF with a sense of adventure :blessed:

I cannot wait for FFXII HD so we get XII international for that job system.

Making these FFVII weaned babies with their all you have to do is hit attack game play shook. :blessed:

You're a girl though. Of course you'd like it. :leostare:

8 has been my fav so far
i always felt like 10 was what that game 8 should have been. both are heavily character driven stories but 10 is far more focused than 8. don't get me wrong 8 was cool but after the first disc the game is all over the place and never really nails down a focus. it also doesn't help that the plot turns to mush and a weak villain drives it.

i also wish the love story was real and developed. Rinoa used to like to mess with Squall but neither really loved the other the plot just told us it was so for the sake of the logo of the game.

Its nice to see you admit that cuz thats the problem wit you saying fans look at it wit "pure nostalgia". If thats the case you can say that about every single classic created. I guarantee if you would have played it when it first came out your opinion would be different.

He reminds me of one of those dudes who says Illmatic or Big's two albums weren't good for shock value. The story was complex but you could still follow it and understand each twist and turn. As for the battle system, at the time FF7 was released you could beat most games by pressing the action and jump buttons repeatedly. Everytime something is nearly universally revered you gotta have people who want to stand out just for the sake of standing out.

Damn, let the late great veteran live. :why:

If you thought FFX's plot was crazy try the Xenosaga trilogy (although I suspect it may be too hard for some of you).

FF 6 was always my favorite, probably nostalgia...

i hated the draw system of FF 8, it was just boring having to draw magic, other than that i thought it was pretty good, I enjoyed X more though.

There's nothing "crazy" about the plot of FFX.........

Cloud may have been an emo bytch (though Squall is the queen of that shyt), but Tidus.......jesus christ what a fukking clown. :snoop:

Square, or maybe the Japanese as a whole, create the most effeminate characters lately, fakkitry must be high over there

Thank god Auron and Lulu's titties were in the game, those other characters were ASS

Xenosaga is a freakshow. its like Xenogears on steroids. its like the ultimate grab bag of a bunch of people's theories and philosophies mixed up with religious references for the sake of having them. i played through that entire series a few years back and loved it. Episode III is one of my favorite JRPGs ever. Xenosaga has far too many layers to its world, backstory, and plot. its too complex for its own good in part because it mixes up so many things from so many different sources.

here are some charts that attempt to explain Xenosaga's concepts.

All this Final Fantasy 7 slander as if one of the most bad-ass villains in video game HISTORY wasn't born in that game..

Where's the love for Mr. One-Winged Angel? The one, the only...SEPHIROTH. :lawd:

You STAYED walking into places where Sephiroth had just mercked everyone and everything in the vicinity. Dude gave no parts of ANY kinds of fukks about ANYTHING. He was just on some "fukk The World" shyt the entire time.

Hell, his attack at the end involved him destroying fukking PLANETS just to kill you b/c that's just how he does things.

Up there with Robotnik's theme from Sonic 2 as one of the best final boss themes in video game history, in my opinion.

I don't see the problem. The charts were easy to understand to me.

Xenosaga was so awful breh. Story was cool but dem cutscenes was 85% of the game, the storyline couldnt get out of its own way and the game was type hard :mjpls: I finished the series but I ain't like it.

Xenogears is probably my goat game of all time though...shame the Final Fantay's took it shine.

Caius theme is better plus dude had the God level power Sephiroth wanted plus he basically (Spoilers for XIII-2)
won. set up a Xanatos gambit, preyed on the heroes desire to do the right thing and when they did they only furthered his goal and he basically killed Serah
Noel_Mog_Hope_Serah.png

lastly he beat Lightning so bad and gave her so much either she realized she couldn't stop him and gave up then and sat down on a chair turning herself into to crystal. mind you this chick had the power of a Goddess at the time and still gave up.
Lightning_Throne_of_Etro.png
sure Caius has the outfit of a fruitcake but he surpassed Sephiroth at every level. he's like the Char clone that beat Char.

The characterization in FFX was simply one of the best in the series. Never have I been interested in every character's backstory.

Tidus deadbeat dad. I always thought Tidus was acting like a bytch the whole entire game. Every time he would start crying I was like :pacspit:. Then at the end, he had that father and son moment that had me like :to:

Auron's backstory when he was fighting alongside Jecht.

Yuna becoming a martyr.

LuLu's titties.

Rikku making me wanting to wait three more years until she was legal. :wow:

Wakka and the story of his brother.

Kimahri's being bullied as a youngster and coming back to settle the score.

FFX dealt with so many social aspects.
