The anti-religion, anti-Christian, anti-Bible critic Bart Ehrman: "He certainly existed, as virtually every competent scholar of antiquity, Christian or non-Christian, agrees, based on clear and certain evidence."

The famous secular classicist and author Michael Grant: "In recent years, 'no serious scholar has ventured to postulate the non historicity of Jesus' or at any rate very few, and they have not succeeded in disposing of the much stronger, indeed very abundant, evidence to the contrary."

The Catholic classicist and historian Richard Burriage: "There are those who argue that Jesus is a figment of the Church’s imagination, that there never was a Jesus at all. I have to say that I do not know any respectable critical scholar who says that any more."

The mostly anti-Bible historian/theologian John Dominic Crossan: "That he was crucified is as sure as anything historical can ever be, since both Josephus and Tacitus ... agree with the Christian accounts on at least that basic fact."

Prominent secular historians Alanna Nobbs and Edwin Judge. "While historical and theological debates remain about the actions and significance of this figure, his fame as a teacher, and his crucifixion under the Roman prefect Pontius Pilate, may be described as historically certain. Very early Christian sources and several non-Christian, and even hostile, sources attest to the existence of Jesus in first-century Palestine, putting his existence beyond reasonable doubt."

Christian apologist John Dixson: "I've put out the challenge before: if anyone can find a full professor of Classics, Ancient History or New Testament in any accredited university in the world who thinks Jesus never lived, I will eat a page of my Bible, probably Matthew chapter 1. It's been a year since I first tweeted the challenge and religious critic John Safran retweeted it to his 60,000 followers. My Bible remains safe."

I know where Niger is buddy.

can you point to the part in the bible which states that the ancient Jews were black?

According to the story, Moses was placed in a basket and sent DOWN the Nile river.
In order to flow DOWN the Nile, you'd start from the south and flow north.

How many white people or so-called middle easterners would've been sent DOWN the Nile when the Nile itself begins in both Ethiopia, and Uganda?
How many white people and so-called middle easterners would've been able to blend in with native African royalty?

Where in the middle east breh?

Africa extended into the so-called middle east depending on time period, and whoever was in power during that time period. Do you believe Africans we're always treated as slaves and 2nd class citizens by non-Africans? Do you believe that Africans never left the continent and spread it's influence?

Pseudo history.

Africans never left their continent expect when they were shipped out in chains by the Arabs and Europeans.

Spread their influence? What influence would that be exactly?

First off, i'm not into the org religion or the church in any way.

But this is supposedly a christian nation, so the bible is important to many.
One thing that simply doesn't add up is the description of jesus isn the bible, vs the image of jesus that we're bombarded with worldwide.

Here's what the Bible says about Jesus

In Revelation 1: 14-15

14 His head and his hairs were white like wool, as white as snow; and his eyes were as a flame of fire;

15 And his feet like unto fine brass, as if they burned in a furnace; and his voice as the sound of many waters.

If you read this carefully, you can only deduce that the man written about, known as Jesus Christ was a Black man. The bible makes that very clear.

Is there a reason why the world has portrayed Jesus as the exact opposite?:patrice:

Also, I saw this in another scripture that Jesus is the Alpha and Omega, the First and the Last. Aren't black people the original man on earth? :patrice:

The white jesus is obviously a ploy by europeans to get people to bow down to their image and worship them. But the description the bible gives in regards to Christ and his hair has nothing to do with the color of his skin at all. When it talks about him having hair like lambs wool it is symbolic of sacrifice. Jesus was the lamb of god who was slaughtered for our sins. Was he a man of color yes but that passage has nothing to do with him being black

What Jesus was is mostly irrelevant. In a spiritual sense, it is about what he "is". If he never existed...does it matter? Black folks still got enslaved, and were told to accept white supremacy into their hearts and minds...On the upswing, Jesus means more in an ideal sense to Black people than any mortal man, including "the man"...A double edged sword. The hardest part of being a Black Man in America that grew up in the Bible Belt is coming to the acknowledgement that he lives in the "matrix"...and there isn't much backlash in enjoying that juicy steak bathing in ignorant bliss, if he socially and mentally rejects any opposing thought. At the end of the day, people have free will....that means something right? fukk what Jesus looked like... What do you stand for?

Pretty sure Moses parents and siblings lived in Egypt.

The sons of Ham: Cush, Egypt, Put and Canaan. Genesis 10:6

The Egyptians are descended from Mizraim (also known as Egypt) the son of Ham. This would make them Middle Eastern and distant relatives to the Israelites.

Ham is African.
The sons are all African, even Canaan. Canaan is where Palestine/Isreal is now.

Am I being :troll:ed right now?
