read the scripture. i'm not talking about whether or not you believe in the bible. it clearly gives a physical description of jesus, the question is why is he shown with blonde hair and blue eyes?

was osama bin ladens skin like fine bronze that burned in a furnace? :usure:
what color does something turn when it burns?:usure:

Molten bronze is ready to pour.
1.Turn off furnace.
2. Remove lid.
3.Remove body section.

These are photos of a typical Bronze pour at the Foundry of the Art Department at the University of Texas at San Antonio. Thanks to Tommy Gregory and Dennis Coffman.

It is not supposed to be a literal description of Jesus as a human being. All of Revelations is symbolic (and trippy). The image is supposed to be frightening and majestic and overwhelming. The human Jesus is supposed to already be long dead.

Every early Christian group depicted Jesus with their own features. There are no contemporary descriptions of his racial features.
Obviously historical Jesus would not have resembled a Hitlerjugend reject turned hippie but those portraits don't even match earlier European ones from Italy, and even older Eastern Europe and West Asian ones.

"I'm not religious".. "the bible isn't real"...... So why are you trying to prove his existence, you hypocrite?

Did u ride the short bus or something?

I'm not trying to prove his existence :mjlol:

The existence of Jesus has absolutely nothing to do with the belief of the Christianity religion

This is what I get for trying to argue logic with ignorant religious ppl :snoop:

I guess I'm the fool for trying to argue with fools tho eh?:shaq2:

Eyes like fire?

Maybe he had high blood pressure, or on the herb.
Eyes red as the devils dikk!

Anyway, who gives a flying fukk what the bible said jesus looked like, the bible is filled to the brim with nonsense. There is very little evidence to even support Jesus actually existing.

:laff::laff::laff:

are u black breh?

Yes, and I think Black people should stop relying on pseudoscience and bad history to justify Black involvement in Abrahamic religions. Jews weren't Black in any modern sense and neither was Jesus, and Black people need to stop being obsessed with Middle Eastern traditions. There's an entire African continent's worth of Black history and culture out there, and much of it is more interesting than Christianity anyway, but the point remains it's completely under-studied because of the obsession with the Middle East, a place Black people aren't even native to outside of a few exceptions like Egypt. It's a form of subtle self-hate, since, just like open c00ning, it's about privileging some other group's ways and identifying with them while ignoring the history of your own people. It's even more obnoxious since the people obsessed with proving Jesus was Black are all of West African descent, like Black Americans, meaning they have even less of a connection to that region than actual Semitic East Africans.

The only people who think Jesus was Black are Black people from outside the Middle East. No Black person actually from a Middle Eastern community believes this, including actual Black Christians from Ethiopia (who were converted originally by White Romans, by the way). Different people draw Jesus in a way that resembles their own race, and that's fine, but accurate history is another matter altogether.

hmm so asking why the image of jesus doesn't match up with his description in the bible is self hate? it actually seems like you are the one filled with self hate. you can't fathom the concept of black man being worshipped. you need to dispel your slave mentality brother.

I still doubt he existed.... They didn't speak about him for 2 centuries

Where do people make up this dumb crap?

Book of Mark is dated to 60.
Books of Luke and Matthew are dated to 70.
Writings of Paul are dating from 50-62.
James was written about 55.
The Didache was written somewhere around the 70s or so.
Hebrews was written around 80.
The apocraphal Gospel of Thomas was written around 80-90
Book of Acts dated to 90.
John is dated to 90.
The bishop Clement wrote about Jesus in the 90s.
The Jewish historian Josephus mentions Jesus in the 90s.
The book of John quoted right here is dated to 100.
The bishop Ignatius writes about Jesus in 7 letters to various churches dated around 107.
The Roman ruler Pliny the Younger mentions Jesus around 112.
The Roman historian Tactitus mentions Jesus in 115.
The Roman historian Claudius mentions Jesus in 115.
The bishop Polycarp wrote about Jesus in the 120s.
By when you get into the 100s the writers are getting too many to count...here's a hundred or so that predate your "200 years" claim: Early Christian Writings: New Testament, Apocrypha, Gnostics, Church Fathers

Scholars across the board - athiest, Christian, Jewish, Muslim, etc. - all agree that Jesus existed. Of course they disagree on whether he was the prophet of God, naturally. But there's no doubt he was a real person. You're getting into crazy-fool land when you get the guys who think Jesus was a myth - none of them are serious academics.

The Bible

Where in the bible?

King David was described as ruddy (red in complexion). However, it should also be mentioned that David's great grandma, Ruth, was a Gentile.

"And he sent, and brought him in. Now he was ruddy, and of a beautiful countenance, and handsome. And the LORD said, Arise, anoint him: for this is he." 1 Samuel 16:12
