Yo am i future proof brehs? I copped my gaming pc off my cousin who needed extra cash for school. Only 600. Looking to update it during blackfriday. Here's my current specs. What should i upgrade for it to be cool for the next 5 years?

Nothing will have you future proof for 5 years. Nothing. We're barely future proof for a year right now :heh:

But you're definitely gonna have to change out that :flabbynsick: graphics card. Get an nvidia 970/980. That'll probably have you set for 2 years at least. There is NOTHING that is gonna have you set for 5 years.

Get a 1080p monitor too, at minimum. 1440p if you can afford it (and if you can, get the 980, instead of the 970)

I'm still confused why your cousin had a really fast processor, a really shytty graphics card and not even a 1080p monitor. It makes no sense :mindblown:

Good luck with the setup though. Once you get a new monitor and gpu you should have a pretty nice machine

that's a typical pre-built: i7 and weak sauce gpu

not bad for 600, id upgrade the video card asap even though that card can handle most games on medium settings very easy right now, but its not future proofed at all, its already past its peak.

maybe get 8 more GB of ram as well..
