980 just arrived at the office. :banderas:

Gonna install it once I get home. If Watchdogs still stutters, I'm done buying Ubisoft games on PC. :camby:

These 970s and 980s :noah:

That performance :noah:
That price :noah:

I'll probably get one of these within the next year. Unless AMD has an ace up their sleeve :lupe:

AMD's '980 killer' will probably require a 3000w psu and have an air conditioner mounted on it :troll:

and be $200 more expensive

AMD shines at the $150-250 mark.. Nvidia dominates the $300+ mark

Man this 670 GTX did me so well its got me fukked up if I should get a 970 GTX or 980 GTX now :lupe:

probably wont get it til holiday season though

@Ciggavelli Looking to grab a new Monitor you the king of that shyt what you pushing atm?
I just have a lot of monitors, but nothing too fancy. I got a dell as the main monitor and 2 LGs for the left and the right. I also have a 1440p Auria, that I got for $400 at Micro Center. I got a dell touch screen on an old rig too.

If I was you, I'd get one of those 1440p gsyncs like @2gunsup has. Or I'd go 4k.

My next monitor will be 4k. I'm just waiting for better panels at a reasonable price.

I'm betting on an aggressively clocked 290x with better cooling. They'll prob call it the 295x or some shyt. Doubt they'll touch on power consumption.

970/980 is 2x the performance of your 670 and maybe then some. If I only had near a 980 budget to spend I'd go with 2x 970's instead. A bit more than a 980 but it'll stomp it out something fierce.

Two questions brehs:
  1. How good is this deal, adding a 970 and an SSD it would come out to around $1200
  2. Does this come already built and in case or do they just send the parts?

No Micro Center near you?

Upgrading from a 670 myself, so I'm interested to see how well it performs.

So after a couple days of testing(swapping monitors, tossing into other rigs, PSU, cables, cleaning, etc.), I've concluded my GPU is fukking up. :mjcry: Been getting screen flickering every once in a while during CSGO and BF4, and today I was getting artifacts.

Gonna see what I can do about it, think I may have been a lil too careless while doing my maintenance last week. The 270x been good to a nikka :to:

Might just be the man above telling me to see what's good with that 970 though :krs: :krs:

I worded that wrong. Im getting the 970gtx or 980gtx no matter what... but because the 670gtx was such a great card it has me contemplating going 970 over 980 when before I always told my self i was getting the 980

it's not bad for $600, but I would prefer to ditch the liquid cooling and get a better psu. I'm not really sure about that case, but it looks decent I guess. and btw that package doesn't include windows

I'm pretty sure they just send you all the parts with that package, and you'll have to put it together yourself
