I think I might buy an r9 280 to finish up my new build. This on-board video life isn't for me. I think I can get one for like $200. Anyone have any experience with this video card?

D'awwwww, look at my first HTPC, brehs. *sniffle* As much heat as this thing made, I'm surprised my shyt didn't catch fire.

Motherboard: DFI BloodIron P35-T2RL
Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 Wolfdale 3.0GHz
Case: Zalman 135HD
RAM: G.SKILL 4GB (2x2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 800 (5-5-5-15)
Monitor: SCEPTRE X24WG-1080P
Video card: GeForce 9800GT
Hard drives: 500 GB 7200 rpm SATA (x3)
PSU: OCZ600SXS 600W

Still got that case, too. T'was the hot shyt back in '08. But it's a bit too big for my flatscreen TV stand (it sticks out by about an inch), so I'm up for case suggestions.

What about 16 gigs of ram?

Even more overkill. Anything more than 8GB is a waste of money.

My Fav case when price is a factor is the Fractal Design R4 that case is so legit for it's price.
I wouldn't trade my Storm Striker case for nothing though.

@Ciggavelli just lost his damn mind

nah...this is the only logical conclusion for Ciggavelli.

he's gonna have that giant 4k, 120hz projector and be fighting to get games to play at 120 fps until he finally breaks.
his girl is gonna walk in on him one night and find him standing ass naked in a bowl of rice with an HDMI cable up his ass talking about "I took it back to the source baby".

I was randomly fukking around on Watch Dogs cuz I got nothing I want to play right now (can't wait until the fall), and wouldn't you know it, the latest patch makes the game playable for me :gladbron:

Ubi got rid of *almost* all of the stuttering in the game. It's definitely playable now. Still a piece of shyt game that I don't even wanna play, but glad to see they finally made some improvements.
I just tried it now that you mentioned it and yea it seems to run smoother now. Granted I'm running an Intel Pentium G3258 overclocked to 4.4GHZ with a 3GB 7970 so that CPU isn't exactly the best for this game but :yeshrug:.

I wonder if there's any games based on the Unit 731 situation in Japan during World War 2..shyt would be an absolutely bugged out horror game...

probably the same reason there are no Auschwitz, Slave, Priest rape games.

however, now that i think of it....playing as the victim may have an audience...actually, i'm sure that people would love to play as the oppressor.

fukk it...

I'm not sayin the exact event but kinda based on it..and of course as a victim trying to escape or getting revenge on the soldiers...not the oppressor..and loosely based on it..not legitimately based on it..there's plenty of Nazi games or shyt based on World War 2 that alludes to experiments being done n shyt...there's even games that tackle racial themes like Bioshock Infinite..Multiple races were victims of Unit 731..I just figured since they had games with hints at experimentation in World War 2 it would've been something loosely based on those events...and I'm talking loosely based on the events of Unit 731 and of course done in a tasteful manner...but I guess u right either way it might be in bad taste..
