I just have evo. I haven't run any optimization yet. I guess I probably should do that.

Yea, the most common reason for slow SSD speeds are:

1) Having a Sata 3 Gb/s motherboard instead of Sata 6 Gb/s mobo. You're fukked there if that's the case.

2) Having the SATA port the SSD is connected to set to IDE instead of AHCI - Samsung Magician will let you know if you have it set to IDE.

I'm all good there.

It's not optimized (the box on the right). Try optimizing it.
I optimized it (I'm not fukking with OS optimization just yet) and my numbers got a little better:

Is the write speed low though? Or is that normal for a 500gb ssd? I think I read somewhere that it should be around 150, but I dunno.

so what ya'll think of watch dogs @daze23 and @Ciggavelli ?
I haven't started it yet. I may tomorrow though. I'm excited about playing around in Chicago, but the reviews are very worrisome. Truth be told, if it wasn't free (I got a free copy with my new cards), I probably wouldn't play it.

What do you think about it?

it's decent so far, but it seems to bo the typical ubisoft game (mind blowing first revel slightly disappointing retail version). it's pretty much splinter cell with some assassin's creed thrown in. it's fun but the driving is imo worse than gta IV( which isn't all that bad it just wasn't fun). all the lil side missions are fun and like gta V there's plenty of other shyt to do.

Gave watch dogs a try...

i5 4670k and GTX 780...both stock no overclocking...

Everything on ultra, temporal SMAA, 1080p with Vsync on is unplaybable, about 30 fps with constant dips into the teens...That's a god damn joke considering this game is visually on par with Sleeping Dogs which is smooth as butter on my rig...Without Vsync the game is playable but the screen tearing is very annoying...I get about 40 fps with dips into the 20s...This is a very shytty port...

The game is good though but gets very repetitive fast like all other Ubisoft games...You have a lot of side mission but they all revolve around the same thing...hack the camera, go to next camera, hack terminal, kill or KO enemy...rinse repeat...The story missions are the exact same process...The only different missions are the convoys which are fun at first but after you do three you won't want to do another one because you'll be doing the exact same thing in every other story mission...

Anyways the worst part of the game is by far the driving...I wanna punch the retard that thought it be a good idea to have pushing forward simulate slamming the fukking gas pedal...I stay running over pedestrians with no fukks given...

I'm liking it so far. trolling the guards with hacking is fun, and pretty damn funny some times. the gunplay seems solid. outside of the crippled cockpit view, I don't mind the driving. some dude tried to invade and hack my shyt, but got shot up :boss:. I haven't tried hacking someone else (uplay was fuct when I got to that part), but it seems like a fun cat/mouse game. I tried the spider tank mini-game. that shyt was pretty cool. the amount of side stuff is kind of overwhelming. so far I've just been going around unlocking the towers

i5 4670k @4.3, gtx 660, 8gb, win 8.1, and the game installed on SSD. SMAA and everything on high. fps usually in the 40's and doesn't dip below 30

I'm playing with a 360 controller btw
