Man my 5080 seems to be giving me problems…keep getting the error “there is a problem with your graphics card” after some idling…reinstalled the drivers, rebooted, now my desktop icons disappeared after a few min…after some googling it seems like the drivers have been unstable
Are you coming from an AMD GPU prior? If so did you fully wipe the old drivers? Have you tried a fresh windows install?

Brand new pc, fresh windows install
If you’re on the 572.47 driver then I would suggest switching to 572.42 instead. My 5090 was working perfectly until I updated to 572.47 and then I started getting black screens while playing Indiana Jones. I said fukk that and went right back to 572.42. The newest NVIDIA driver is dog shyt.

I was having issues with mine when I plugged it into a non PCIe 5.0 slot on my motherboard. Once I moved it to the PCIe 5.0 slot, my issues went away.

Any recommendations for a decent budget 850W PSU with Atx 3.0 dedicated 12vpwr socket for a 4080s/9700x build?

Every other part has fallen into my lap for cheap but bought the power unit three times and it's been returned/out of stock/seller gone dark

I'm tired :unimpressed:

Anybody bought or built an HTPC to just hook directly up to your TV or receiver to bypassing having to stream over your home network?

Just want something I can download movies/shows in 4K on and play directly to my TV.

So they are releasing a mid range card. Just saw the specs from 3rd party users. Most games get 85-120fps in 4k max settings. This is about 30 to 40 fps less than a 4090.

AMD will always be king of price vs performance.

Do what I do. Buy a 5tb portable hdd and a Nvidia Sheild Android TV Pro. Then use Kodi as the software to watch your movies and tv shows. It works real well. It even supports DV HDR, but not DV right out, so only download DV HDR or HDR files. Most places have all options. The Nvidia Shield is like one of the best components I've ever bought. Plug in your portable hdd, open up Kodi, find the file, play it. It's very simple. Kodi is better than VLC. Kodi is the shyt.
