Just been looking at the part prices on PC gaming cards and I can't imagine how people spend $1500+ on a graphics card. The prices on the top end are wild. I remember when they were $800-$900 for a close to a flagship ti card.
Crazy how the 7900 XTX is mostly $1,000+ and the 4090 is sitting around $2,000+, but I think the latter is due to a shortage. The 7900 XT is the only reasonable priced high end card right now as you can get that for $800 and less. Hopefully, Intel comes thru with Battlemage, but I don't expect customers flocking towards it in big waves even if the cards are good.

Gotta wait in the fall or winter to see what Nvidia or amd brings. Definitely upgrading my GPU end of the year.

Brehs can I get some advice on a PC. I'm looking to buy one really just to play GTA. Is a budget of $1,200 enough to get a fast computer that won't lag?

You're talking GTA6 next year? If so, 1200 will allow you to game at 1080p. Not maxxed out 4k.
Yea. I'll fukk with GTA5 as well. That GTA role play shyt look kinda dope. What type of PC would I need to play in 4k?

Time to sell the custom water cooling. Come over to the practical side.
I would, but it’s way too loud. I like a quiet pc. I even sacrifice heat levels to achieve a quiet pc. I love headphones, but not while gaming. I wanna hear my KEF LS50s without an annoying fan sound.

However, from a practical standpoint, water cooling and tubes are a bytch. You have one simple thing go wrong and it turns into a full day’s long process (if not more).

Some of those fancy custom prebuilds put the tubing in the back, behind the mobo, which is a smart idea, but it doesn’t look as nice.

I’d go back to “normal” PCs if they could fix the sound levels, but I don’t see that happening anytime soon (if ever).
