Aye,I want a PC that's gonna be future proof for PCVR gaming for at least 5 years to come. The 4090 is the only gpu that can run all current PCVR games on max 4k at 90-120hz, except for MSFS of course.

Bout to cop one of these https://www.omen.com/us/en/desktops/omen-45l.html

Specs:
Operating system Windows 11 Pro
Memory Kingston FURY 64 GB DDR5-5200 MHz XMP RGB Heatsink RAM (4 x 16 GB)
Maximum Memory Supports up to 128 GB max system memory
Internal Storage 2 TB WD Black PCIe® Gen4 TLC M.2 SSD
Hard drive (2nd) 1 TB WD Black PCIe® NVMe™ M.2 SSD
Processor Intel® Core™ i9-13900KF
Chipset Intel® Z790
Graphics (integrated) Intel® UHD Graphics 770
Graphics (discrete) NVIDIA® GeForce RTX™ 4090 (24 GB GDDR6X dedicated)
Power supply type 1200 W 80 Plus Gold certified ATX power supply
Network interface Integrated 10/100/1000 GbE LAN
Wireless Realtek RTL8852BE Wi-Fi 6 (2x2) and Bluetooth®️ 5.3 wireless card (supporting gigabit data rate)

$3,800 tax included :mjcry::mjcry::mjcry: It would be around the same for a custom build with the same components.

Damn student loans just restarted. Talk me out of it, PLEASE.

Get yourself out of debt. Life is a whole lot better when it's not hanging over your head.

I hear you. That money would allow me to pay off the loans a year sooner. shyt, I may just buy it and return it just to get the experience out the way. Or lease 4070ti build for a couple months. I wish Geforce Now worked with VR titles.

I bought everything you suggested but the SSD and RAM cause I don't feel like 1TB is enough. I wanna try to get a 2 TB and RAM during a Black Friday deal cause now I'm mad I didn't wait a day or two before I bought the CPU cause the price dropped by almost $30.

That's fine, more storage is always good, just make sure your NVME has cache (this one looks to be on sale for $129 Samsung 980 Pro 2 TB M.2-2280 PCIe 4.0 X4 NVME Solid State Drive (MZ-V8P2T0B/AM) - PCPartPicker). Also make sure if you go for 64GB instead of 32GB, you pick 2 x 32GB sticks instead of 4 x 16GB (the performance is better with 2 vs 4 sticks) and make sure its CL value is not more than 30 (this one is a good choice: G.Skill Flare X5 64 GB (2 x 32 GB) DDR5-6000 CL30 Memory (F5-6000J3040G32GX2-FX5) - PCPartPicker)

Dont worry about the price thing, PC parts flactuate all the time. Its better to buy when you want it than to wait for a drop that is not guaranteed to come.

I was gonna build my nephew a pc for Christmas, but then I was like he wouldn't appreciate it or know what to do if there was an issue or whatnot. Copped him that PS5 instead. I hate to say it, but consoles are just easier. You gotta be grown to understand the pc world. Maybe one day. Maybe I'll hand him down my 4090 when the 5090 comes out. But giving a younger kid a water cooled rig...I dunno
He doesn't need all that. Slide it to the breh:youngsabo:

Why are you trying to run vr games at above device resolutions? I mean, I’m all about maximum overkill, but running games at resolutions higher than headsets provide seems odd. While I’d like vr headsets to do 4K in each eye, I don’t see it happening anytime soon. I guess maybe 5 years, like you’re saying, but by then the 4090 will long be obsolete. By then we’ll be at 6090s. It’s hard to predict greater than 2 years. I don’t think anything is 5 years future proof. There is just too much uncertainty.

the 7600 comes with a CPU cooler while the 7600X doesn't. Although it could run fine with the stock cooler doing basic stuff, it struggles keeping the CPU cool if doing anything demanding like gaming; so your computer will be an oven if you just rely on it. You are far better off with the TP Assassin since it will accomodate all your needs including gaming while keeping the CPU fairly cool.

No gaming experience is worth going into debt over.

Truth be told, it wouldn't put me more in debt. I already have well over that saved up. I'm just trying to be talked out of the purchase, which yall are doing a good job at doing :russ:. I tend to impulse buy shyt I barely use just to have it.

Perhaps 4k was stretching it. I meant the highest res possible for my headset, the Q3 so that games aren't a blurry/crawling mess.

Wow. And you never know what that person could've done to your card before they request a refund.
Yeah that’s the most annoying part. They get 30 days to file a return request. Even though I don’t actually do returns on eBay, they’ll force you to if the buyer claims that you sold them a defective item. So you can sell them a card that works perfectly and if they decide to experiment on it (remove the cooler, replace thermal pads, apply Liquid Metal) and anything gets fukked up in the process, they can just say the GPU is defective and eBay will make you give them a return. I’m not messing with eBay anymore for GPU sales. It’s way too easy to get fukked as a seller.
