Decided it was time to go ahead and improve my desk setup now that I’m working on the new Lian Li build. I ordered a Secretlab Magnus Pro XL desk and what I hope will be a suitable monitor arm that can accommodate my Samsung Odyssey Ark. I think I’d rather just sell it and go buy a Samsung S95C for Black Friday but I’m not trying to go through the hassle.

I was gonna build my nephew a pc for Christmas, but then I was like he wouldn't appreciate it or know what to do if there was an issue or whatnot. Copped him that PS5 instead. I hate to say it, but consoles are just easier. You gotta be grown to understand the pc world. Maybe one day. Maybe I'll hand him down my 4090 when the 5090 comes out. But giving a younger kid a water cooled rig...I dunno

This is why you start a kid out with a basic PC and let them upgrade as they learn more about computers.

You don't start them out with a Ciggavelli level rig :russ:

Welp. power supply blew up. GPU was giving me weird issues for so long but i was lax and kept trying to fix it. Not sure what was damaged first but GPU won't work in other system and PSU literally blew up with a bang. I saw a really good offer for a system and they accepted but my brother says he could do better for the money if i give him time. Now the price on the system went up and i'm :sadcam:

I got my new desk setup and I’m loving it. The Magnus Pro XL is dope. I had to downsize my monitor but it’s all good. Rocking a 43” Samsung QN90C now as opposed to the 55” Odyssey Ark. That O11 Evo XL is :banderas:

What is the depth of your desk?

The best standing desks you can buy are from those companies that sell refurbished office supplies. night and day difference in quality vs the shyt you order online. I bought mine at one of these places including the office chair which retails for $1200 but got it for $600 in excellent condition and with extra casters to protect the wooden floor

I'm debating on jumping back to the 1440p OLED super ultrawide. The 2160p super ultrawide is nice, but I miss the blacks and colors of the OLED. I wish they dropped an OLED 2160p super ultrawide. Maybe next year, but it's currently a compromise, and I don't like compromises :jbhmm:

Thanks. I was looking at your list and realized I don't see where that CPU cooler goes in the directions. It's listed as a part and that's it. Must be something I'm overlooking.

It goes on the motherboard over the spot where you mount the cpu. The box has a manual with instructions. There are also youtube video showing a step by step guide on how to mount the cooler
